Hard to think of a more idyllic setting. We stayed in the boat house (detached from main building) so we're perched right on the water edge, waking every morning to the stunning views across Loch Awe. The hotel itself is set in a remarkable location. The staff were magnificent and the food very good. Would recommend Ardanaiseig to anyone looking... More

My wife, two daughters and I stayed in the Rose cottage for 2 nights over easter. It probably helped that we got 3 days of sunshine in a row, but had a lovely time. The cottage is very nice. It's warm, clean and well kitted out. We didn't cook there, because we ate in the hotel and in Oban, but... More

Having just stayed 3 nights at the boat shed with my husband and small dog all I can say is when can we return. The boat shed sits on the loch a 2 minute walk from the hotel but you think it's your own special little bit of heaven. We ate breakfast 3 mornings in the hotel & took dinner... More

We have stayed at Ardanaiseig before, several years ago, and hence had a pretty good idea what to expect. Yes, it's a long single track road drive in, which is typical of Scotland. The car park at the end was a bit water logged and muddy however, room for improvement even if it is in the back of beyond. Then... More

From the word go our stay was everything I hope for. Relaxing by beautiful open fires. Outstanding dinner and beautiful wine. A lovely room with a loch view and the warmest of welcomes and service. Can't wait to go back.

Just back rested and revitalised. We were made to feel very welcome, as was our dog, Russo. Staff, food and surroundings are fabulous and we hope to return. This is the perfect place if you want good service, without the stuffiness of other hotels of this genre. Thanks to all the staff.

Six of us booked with an itison deal and all agreed we would have paid the full price if they had asked us to! The hotel rooms were a really good size, clean and with a comfy bed (not all of our rooms had standing showers some rooms were baths so if you need one best ask on booking). The... More

From the welcome at reception, then taken round the main rooms, drawing room and library, and then taken to our room... very good room. smart bathroom. good shower., 2 heaters in room for... More

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on the 23rd and 24th of March, and had a fantastic time. This was our second visit to the hotel and I was pleased to be reminded at how good the service, food and views were. This hotel is in such a lovely area with incredible views over Loch Awe. The food... More

We spent a weekend at the Ardanaiseig. It was our second time; even if it is in a remote location and on the Friday it was snowing, we enjoyed the journey. We loved the food and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Now the dinner menu is no longer fixed and you can choose some of the courses.
