This is a first class getaway hotel with loads of character, charm and stunning Scottish views. The food is superb, as is the service from the attentive staff. However, beware the "garden facing rooms". You'll pay a premium for the loch facing rooms, but they're worth it if affordable. We stayed in the "Nevis" room which is in a faraway,... More

We had a week doing munroes in Scotland. We progressed from mountain hut, tents, small inn and comfortable hotel to two nights of luxury at the Ardanaiseig. After a 3 mile drive down a single track road (seems much longer ), the hotel was not a disappointment. The setting is stunning, with loch Awe stretching out in front of the lawned... More

Booked for a birthday treat and it didn't disappoint. Quirky hotel with charm aplenty. Food great. Staff welcoming and helpful. Arrived late on the Friday but still a warm welcome and sandwichs in room. Looking forward to our next stay in July 2014.

If I compare our stay to the advertising hype and some Trip advisor guests I have to say we were bordering on disappointed. Putting to one side the expectation of a hotel with superb everything , our stay observed the following : Fantastic location and views ! Rooms requiring refurbishment of furniture and décor , including toilet lids that don't... More

We were on the 3rd leg of a trip round Scotland, when we stayed for 2 nights at this Wonderful Hotel. Beware, on the first visit, you think you will never get there, preserver, you will not be disappointed. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, the food great, and the selection of Malt Whisky's excellent. The hotel... More

The hotel is off the beaten track but what a scenic track! You drive up to the hotel and its a step back to another century with the House nestling in lush green gardens on the banks of loch Awe. Yes we had to wait whilst another guest was been attended to, but that happens in every hotel at certain... More

My wife and I had a pleasant stay at the Ardanaiseig Hotel but left with wallet a lot lighter and feeling somewhat ripped-off. A Condé Nast Traveller's review mentions a 'Gleneagles' experience. Frankly Ardanaiseig isn't close. It was however a lot more expensive. Our room was small, very hot, and along at the end of a long corridor. There were... More

An idyllic country escape beautifully nestled perfectly in front of Loch Awe. Breath taking scenery surrounds you in every direction and I would definitely suggest the lovely drive up from Glasgow passing Loch Lomond en route and taking the opportunity to stop for lunch at one of the many pubs/hotels/ cafés on the way up. Ardanaiseig has an unrivalled position,... More

We had a very enjoyable few days at Ardanaiseig Hotel. Beautiful location, excellent dining, friendly staff and even whisky tasting! A great place to explore the surrounding area from. Highly recommended!

Our weekend at this hotel was a birthday gift, so we only paid for dinner and a food upgrade, if I had been paying the full cost, I would not have been very impressed. The hotel and surroundings are really beautiful. The staff very friendly and food great. However On arrival I was kept standing waiting for 15 minutes whilst... More
