We had an overnight stay here to break up a camping trip. It was to be a special treat, but given that this single night cost around £680 (including food, and a bag of laundry) for our family of four, crammed into one room, with the kids sharing a bed, I don't feel that it was honestly worth it. Staff... More

Thank you for your review although I was very sad to hear that you felt Kilcamb was stuffy. Our ethos here is always to positively create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere which 93% of TA reviews would endorse. We provide a complementary tea tray on your room with chef's home made shortbread, cakes, fresh milk etc. However, if I... More

Went for a one night stopover on the way to the Western Isles and found a little bit of tranquillity in a beautiful setting. The rooms were elegant and the meals were delicious. All the staff were very friendly and we also found some unusual wild life, a totally green moth.

Location of this hotel was perfect for us, right on the edge of the loch and very quiet. Lovely local walks and things to do. Peaceful and relaxing place with fabulous local food. Excellent service. Local area is great for wildlife spotting. Would recommend as a place to stay or to come for a meal.

We visited Kilcamb for four nights at the end of July and really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful place and a lovely hotel. We stayed in Room 1 with a balcony and view towards the loch. The staff were all very good - Paul, Clara, Martina especially - the owners thoughtful and welcoming and dinner was a treat each... More

Thank you PAUL and your wonderful staff for making my birthday celebration ever so special. The flowers, champagne and chocolate in our room were such a treat! We stayed in room 6--the garden view and it was very nice. My parents stayed in room 1 with the loch view--the window seat is such a charming touch. Dinner 2 nights in... More

The hotel seems like a 4 stars hotel instead at what we saw on the indicator(3 stars). The dinner is gourmet and very good and also the services are 5 stars.First we have the room no 1 but we change to a suite because it was too small and dark(we are 2 adults and 1 11yrs old kid). The prices were very... We visited Kilcamb for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we came back for lunch a couple of days later. The setting is spectacular, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. Highly recommend the duck, pulled pork sandwich and all the desserts. However, the one thing that you cannot miss are the chips. They... More

we stayed here for a weekend with a group of friends (we actually filled the hotel) for a wedding. We received 5 star treatment from the moment we arrived on Friday until the day we left on Sunday. The room we stayed in was spacious and the en suite was modern and bright. Paul the manager was terrific, very attentive... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the Kilcamb Lodge. The staff were all excellent and could not do enough for us, the food was also very good especially the seafood dishes. We would definitely recommend this small independent hotel with is lochside location in a most beautiful part of Scotland.
