I have just stayed at the Kilcamb Lodge for two nights so that I could attend a wedding. The whole experience was wonderful, warm and friendly. We only had one meal and two breakfasts but they were all good. There were real fires to add to the welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommmend it to anyone wanting to stay in... more

Having just returned home after spending Christmas 2009 at Kilcamb Lodge Hotel, Strontian, we felt compelled to let you have our comments regarding this wonderful country house hotel. The following is an extract from an e.mail that we have just sent to Phillip Fleming, General Manager. There can be no better assurance for them that they have 'got it right'... more

We carefully planned our trip to the Scottish Highlands over 6 months in advance and after much research and review reading we selected Kilcamb Lodge (over Taychreggan, The Torridon & Ardanaiseig Hotel) as our highlight hotel to finish off our holiday and recharge our batteries after 7 days of exhaustive touring and a family wedding. We were not disappointed. From... more

I could not disagree more with the last reviewer. From start to finish, we were treated royally in a hotel that has a wonderful homely feel about it. It has at least three rossette dining, although officially only two. Fine dining is what the hotel advertises and fine dining is what you get. Staff are very attentive and very friendly,... more

The holtel has a lovely location, the public areas are lovely, as was our room. The food one the first night was poor, the second inedible, and on the third, when everyone had the no-choice menu, was very good. They advertise afternoon tea, which consists of a pot of tea and nothing else. When we requested sandwiches and scones or... more

We appreciate your feedback on our hotel, however I do wish to make my observations on this review. Having made us aware of your food likes and dislikes, you were offered you a modified menu to ensure your needs were adequately catered for on your second night. Our staff, myself included, also recall that you ate all of your meal...

From the moment we walked in the door we were treated with a warm, friendly and professional welcome. We were offered the loft suite as it was the only room available for our 3 night stay, it was explained to us (before we booked ) that if you were tall it would not be suitable, my only disappointment with the... more

Had a lovely room overlooking the loch. Found the staff extremely attentive and professional and especially the general manager, very smartly dressed. We just found the food a little too fussy. We had the 7 course gourmet dinner on one night which was beautifully cooked and presented but we were a little bored by the time we were half way... more

We found this gem of a hotel after getting a dog around xmas – how thankful we are of that puppy!! We’ve returned twice since our first visit and each time has been as perfect as the first. The standard of service we receive is unbelievable for a ‘smaller’ hotel and the professional and dedicated team are a credit to... more

We all remember your stay and the excitement it generated throughout the staff who were all so pleased and happy for you both - and we were all equally delighted that the answer was "YES". On this third time visit, we realize fully how wonderful the place and hotel are. Everything from sitting indoors looking at the view from the lounge or sitting outdoors on the bench under the tree or going places is feasable. Very cosy lounges and beautiful well appointed rooms. Extremely professionnal and friendly staff, great service from breakfast to diner, Superb... more

This is a wonderful small hotel, in a gorgeous location. Perfect for a romantic getaway or just, as my sister and I discovered, as a very comfortable base for some hiking in a particularly stunning part of the Scottish highlands. It rained (of course - that's Scotland!) on 2 days of the 5 we were there, but that quickly became... more
