Went into The Stag with friends to have lunch and a few drinks. The girl behind the bar was lovely and we decided to have a drink in the beer garden before our lunch. We were a bit unsure what time they would serve lunch until but were reassured that they were still serving and were taken through to the... More

Only stayed 1 night for work, This Hotel has been refurbished under what I understand to be new owners. The staff were excellent and very accommodating, I turned up quite late in the evening meeting my colleague in the bar. The lady serving in the bar overheard a conversation about how I had very little to eat during the day... More

I stayed here for one night, and that was too long. I had a friendly check in, but was not prepared for what was to come. My single room on first floor was freezing cold and very shabby. I immediately put the radiator on to heat the room and started to run a hot bath. There was no shower, but... More

We stopped at this hotel as part of a touring holiday on the West of Scotland. We got a twin room on the second floor which was very clean, but also tired. Could be refurbishment hadn't reached this far. The biggest disappointment was when we checked in we specifically asked the times of breakfast - and got the answer finishing... More

Really recommend this friendly and comfortable Hotel. Perfectly placed for touring the Mull and ferries to the islands. The rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable and great value. The staff are helpful like family and breakfast is more than adequate, a perfect start to the day! With everything in house, bars, bar meals and a fair restaurant menu there really is... More

Like the last reviewer said this place has according to my aunt who is a local, undergone a massive renovation and is a credit to the present owners. We had dinner without a reservation and chef made pasta for me because I didn't fancy the other vegetarian options. Desserts were lovely and there was a nice homely atmosphere. We were... More

My car tyre blew out and I had to spend the night is Lochgiphead at the last minute. This hotel has been entirely redone and is really very stunning now. Helpful staff, lovely clean room/bathroom, had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and made lots of friends sitting on the outdoor patio. What could have been a dark spot on... More
