This is a small Inn, several miles outside Lochgilphead. The rooms are small but clean and cosy, although you could believe you are drunk when walking in them as the floors slant in different directions. There is a reasonable TV reception and Wifi. The staff are friendly and there are two bars to choose from. The Menu is limited, but... More

Travelled to the Horsehoe Inn this weekend with friends and had a blast. Lovely homely, friendly pub with roaring fire. Staff and locals very welcoming. Meals and banter were great. Breakfast was brilliant, just the thing to set you on your way. Thanks to Ian and Roseanne for their hospitallity. Will definately be back.

A lovely little spot for the weary traveller. The room I was first given was a lovely double room with ensuite. Really nice. Unfortunately one of the actresses was touring with had a moan about her room, which was a twin single, and the bathroom was next door, only for that room though not shared. The beds were a bit... Picked Horseshoe from Tripadvisor for short solo walking break (Canal & Kilmartin) as it was half the price of anything else in the area. Good choice, Room had en-suite, tv & tea/coffee on tap. No probs . Price included cereal b/fast, the extra was only if you wanted a cooked full Scottish. (Which I did, spot on!). Evening meals were... More

Visited for dinner with our family of 5 adults and 3 children (7,8&10) Firstly we had to sit at two tables which had not been cleared despite the fact we were the only diners. Then when we asked for a salad with no peppers the friendly barmaid ran off to the kitchen to check, on her return she said the... More

We have just had a week long stay in Ford, Scotland and finished the holiday off with a family meal. There were 11 of us in our party and this comprised of adults, children and a toddler. We arrived and were served instantly with drinks and left to peruse the menu. For the toddler we requested something not listed on... More

Spent 2 non consecutive nights at The Horseshoe Inn during a tour of Scotland. Iain and Roseann made us feel right at home (remembering my husband from last year). Very good dinner and excellent breakfast customized by Iain for one of our sons who doesn't eat half of what was on offer. The rooms are not luxurious, but clean and... More

The Horseshie Inn is a fairly bog standard pub/inn. £50 per night was pushing it a little for the room. The room was fairly basic and a bit dated but provided a good nights sleep and considering it is above a pub and we stayed on a Saturday night there was no noise disturbance. The food in the pub is... More
