Hotel is fantastic, immaculately clean excellent at the price! Cooked breakfast was massive and very good quality, the owners are very friendly and the place is relaxed. Rooms are comfortable. Food in bar is excellent as was the drink. Overall brilliant value.

We regularly visit the Horseshoe Inn for the great food and friendly service. We are made very welcome as are our two dogs who receive just as good a service as we do. Ians food is wonderful we recommend the ham salad, his home made chips and his home made fish cakes.

This year was our fifth visit to Kilmartin Glen. We mostly eat at the Horseshoe, because the menu is varied and the food is really good and plenty of it. We have never been disappointed and always make a beeline for it in the evenings to eat.

I stayed here so that I could explore the neolithic stuff in the area. The food in the restaurant is wonderful (order from the specials NOT THE MENU). The proprietors were very helpful. I spent my evenings in the pub with the locals and had wonderful conversations. It's a great place to stay.

I stayed 4 nights at the Inn….Didn't want to leave…I was really snug in my room, breakfast was cooked to perfection in the morning and so ample I cut out my lunch. Then in the evening enjoyed the home made fish cakes packed with varieties of fish…the stuffed mushrooms were delicious too…all big portions.. Since I needed to work remote on... More

The Horseshoe Inn in Kilmichael, what can I say! My Mother has been hospitalised with dementia in Lochkilphead, being here by myself, the sadness of seeing my mother in the hospital, the solitude I felt during my stay was made more tollerable by the hospitality and the compassion shown by Ian and his family, of all the places in the world... First of all, I have to say that I haven't eaten, drank or stayed in the Horseshoe Inn - so why am I reviewing it you may ask? Well, we did try to eat there one evening recently, but found that for some reason we had become completely invisible to (a lady I now believe to be) the owner. She... More
