Good little place here. The beer in the bar is good. The local people are hospitable and the food there is pretty alright too. No problems with parking and if your using public transport, the bus-stop is just across the road. The place even has wifi and sports tv in the bar!! I would stay again.

Warm, friendly, basic. Ideal! I could think of no better village if you need a break from having to 'do things', whether it's city living, 'doing sights', or having to keep ip in some way. This is just plain old Scotland in the rain, with massive mountains all around - oh, and a fab wee microbrewery to boot. Get away... More

This hotel lived up to the views of posters who have indicated it is friendly with great value food. Room (double ensuite) was fine if a little cramped with the addition of an extra single bed along with the double. Food was delicious. Would recommend a stay here.

Throughout the years I have visited many hotels but I can honestly say this is by far the friendliest. I didn't actually stay in the hotel but I did sample the food and it was delicious, it arrived quickly and was piping hot. The ambience of the place was homely and comfortable and I felt welcome the second I set... More

As a dog owner you are never really able to relax... always wondering where you dog can and can't go. The lovely lady Fiona behind the bar made sure we were very welcome and offered my dog water and treats! We were also able to enjoy a nice evening meal in the dog friendly bar. Good special offers on food... More

We recently completed a walk on the West Highland Way and used many bars, restaurants, B&B's and hotels along the route. We stayed here on our sixth night Day six had been a killer! We walked all the way from Bridge of Orchy, around 21 miles. It took us through stunning forests, over rugged mountains and through beautiful valleys. Over... More

I had asked for a bath when booking (due to a medical condition) - the inn accepted my booking but did not say there was no bath. It seems they were more concerned with getting my money than taking the time to communicate with me to let me know they could not meet my requirements. Otherwise - evening meal was... More

We found the Tailrace to be very genial. we stayed one night after a walk over the mountain from Kings house whilst on the West Highland Way. Excellent amenities and friendly local staff. Well situated in the town and good service. Can order a packed lunch for the morning if walking

Kinlochleven has been described as an ugly town on a pretty loch, but nothing could be further from the truth now. Maybe because the town is no longer an industrial town and relies heavily on tourist traffic, but I thought the town was quite pretty and charming, and the loch of course delightful. In the midst of this, Tailrace Inn... More

This was a fantastic little pub in a lovely location. Ended up in Kinlochleven by mistake as all nearby areas were booked out. However very glad that we did. The food, drinks and service were fantastic and very convenient. The room was well priced with everything we needed. There was actually room to move in the bathroom for a change!
