I can't say enough good things about Kilfinan Hotel! My husband and I spent the weekend there in early February. We were the only ones in the hotel and it was so peaceful! Helen and Andrew made us feel right at home! The food was fresh and delicious and our room was so comfortable! We spend our Saturday night at... More

This is the kind of Schottish hotel you hope to find in the Hebridis. Small, cosy, individually decorated rooms, very well maitained, lovely looking bar and restaurant and very good food. It is run by a small team and the love and care put into this place can be noticed in everything. It is on a road (hardly any traffic)... More

My wife and I spent three nights at the hotel. The hard-working staff (Madelon and Helen) made us very welcome. Our room was comfortable, the food was very good, and we enjoyed the cozy bar with its wood fire. There are good walks down to the loch from the hotel. Wi-Fi is available in the reception rooms. We would be... More

7 of us cycled here, a great cycle but save some energy for the hill. Welcome was friendly, food was good quality though being in a remote place it was not as widely stocked as a city hotel. Rooms were comfortable.

On the back of an enforced sudden change of holiday plans, the original intention was to spend a couple of nights here and then move on, but we ended up staying for the whole week. The welcome was personal and warm which basically set the tone for the week. The food was superb, both the breakfast and dinner. The ambiance... More

A lovely remote hotel , a warm welcome awaits you .Large room with very comfortable bed , and modern bathroom .The lack of TV and mobile signal is a good thing if you are after a bit of peace . Dinner was excellent as was breakfast .A cosy bar with an open fire .

As usual we booked, uh, the day before or later and not much was available till we stumbled on this place. Not really centrally located for day trips it does not matter as it is stunning just the drive to get there. Hotel is nice, fod is good, the best blood sausage starter I ever had and a nice salad,... Had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. Very relaxing and a great base to explore the surrounding area. Room was very comfortable and clean. Lack of TV and phone signal gives you a bit of a detox. Dinner on the first night was, if being honest, a bit dry but the breakfast is outstanding and based on this gave... More

The friendliest hotel in Scotland. Cosy bar, fire lit to ensure we keep warm, the staff kept us amused with tales of the area and the characters around! Worth seeking out as it is of the beaten track, not far from Tighnabruaich
