By pure chance and coincidence we came across this magical place while driving around in the area looking for a place to stay and we must say that it certainly was the highlight of our trip. The very friendly manager gave us a top of the range lake view room at the cheapest room rate and also arranged for a... more

We had booked a four nights' stay at this hotel that we had first discovered 25 years ago, when we were younger and impoverished and could only afford to wander through the gardens and drool over the idyllic setting. We never actually went inside the hotel at that time but dreamed of staying there one day. Being now middle-aged and... more

We got married at the hotel at the start of December 2007 and had a wonderful time. The service that we received was excellent with nothing too much trouble. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Tervine Room which has an unrivalled view of Loch Awe. Room was huge and whilst if you were being... more

We just spent the three day Hogmanay Break here. Our Garden view room was comfortable and well-appointed. The bathroom was enormous with a full length tub to stretch out in while enjoying Molton Brown toiletries. The room was checked twice daily including turn down service in the evening whilst we were dining. Check-in was quick and efficient. Lovely fires in... more

I recently stayed at the Ardanaiseig Hotel for the christmas package. What an amazing stay we had!!! Our room was superbly furnished with an amazing bath and room over looking the loch. Champagne was in the room on arrival and the check in was brilliant and friendly. Then came dinner in a romantic warm dinner setting with fun and outgoing... more

A very expensive Hotel, but, the room we stayed in had old marked carpets and furnishings, when the door to the dining room two floors below slammed the big bed shook. There was electrical wiring that I am sure health and safety would not have approved of. In the ensuite, the toilet seat shifted when sat on,the basin plug did not contain... more

We were in the Kilchurn Room - fantastic, huge, comfy 4 poster bed in an enormous room with views over the loch. A bit of a trek down single trek roads to get there - but the solitude is one of the charms. The house is fantastic with fires in the bar and great views from the lounge. We stayed... more

Stayed with my wfe to celebrate my birthday this year. Found the hotel to be in a very peaceful and tranquil location. You drive several miles along a single track road to reach the property which sits on the banks of a loch. It also has a wonderful private garden and woodland walks. The building itself is stunning both inside... more

We had stayed in the main hotel a few years ago & had had a wonderful time. This time we booked into the boatshed overlooking the loch. With the hotel just a quick walk/golf buggy ride away you have all the amenities close to hand, but feel as if you are completely 'away from it all'. The boatshed was serviced... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Agreed that it is a stunning location and that the public rooms and the bedroon were absolutely lovely. We ate one night in the restaurant and food was deliciious. Just can't help thinking that for the price you should be getting something more (obviously you know before booking that there is no... more
