On arrival the hotel was quirky and interesting, however we had a continuation of sagas which were not sorted out therefore making small things become rather more irritating. The main thing was actually the lack of anyone to sort out problems, it was hilarious, every time we had to question something at reception a member of the bar and restaurant... more

Just back from a wonderful 3 day stay at this lovely hotel. Stayed in the captains bedroom as the stay was for our honeymoon and our room was fabulous, very roomy, big comfy bed with a large tv and dvd player and seating area, tea/coffee facility and fresh daily biscuits. Bathroom was big with huge double bath and seperate double... more

Sadly we only had 1 night in this lovely hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. I had booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my partner who is a restauranteur and looked long and hard for somewhere which could provide very good food and wine, good location and nice rooms, very difficult to find in this part of... more

My husband, 2 year old son and I sayed for 3 days at the start of October. We used it as a base for me to climb Ben Nevis. We had the most magnificent views over the loch from our large, clean room. The hotel is in a great location in a beautiful part of the world. We used the... more

A really nice hotel with some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. Lovely setting with fantastic views from both the bedroom and the restaurant. Nice restaurant, but could offer more for those who do not enjoy seafood, however bar meals do have a little more variety - (Why not offer some of these menu items in the restaurant?)... more

15 years ago we first stayed. This time with family from USA where high standards in restaurants and hotels are demanded and the Holly Tree did not fail, they were not disappointed. The hotel has expanded and improved. A new leisure centre and still good food sourced locally. Enthusiastic young staff and management attend quickly to all requests. Great value... more

We are reluctant to share this little gem with too many people as we would not like it to be overbooked when we next want to visit! This was our third time staying in this lovely family-run hotel which was a railway station in a previous life and still has features of its former existence tastefully included in its modern... more

My husband and I stayed here in a Captains room in May to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We arrived on a wonderful sunny afternoon and had a fantastic time watching out over the loch from our balcony before dinner. Dinner was fantastic, if you like meat and seafood you will love this restaurant., on both... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Holly Tree Hotel and we loved it - our room was a good size, immaculate and bright thanks to the light from the large patio windows, which give a fantastic view of the loch and the mountains beyond. Food was good if not spectacular. more
