Very friendly couple, they are putting a lot of work into this house. The breakfast was great, best Black Pudding ever, afternoon tea in the front garden with the views over the loch, fantastic. Would recommend this place, and would stay again,

A lovely old country house feel in a super location. The new owner, Philip is very attentive and breakfast was lovely. There is a really relaxed feel to the place. However, basic facilities are in need of immediate upgrading. The heating system appeared to be broken and the shower, whilst hot, was old & archaic. Also the decor is pretty... More

The ownership of this hotel has changed very recently. We had stayed there under both previous owners and were interested to find out if it had changed. Although it does not now do evening meals this was not a problem for us as we never had dinner there. The new owner is very friendly and welcoming and with a cooked... More

I spent four nights at Allt Na Craig and was extremely impressed by the hospitality provided by hosts Hamish and Charlotte. The accommodation was comfortable and the meals were tasty, substantial and varied with home baked bread and not a chip in sight! The dining room was equipped with a wood burning stove which was a great comfort as the... More

If you're looking for a B & B to stay in this part of the world, then here is perfect! The room we stay in was lovely, the hosts were warm and welcoming (even when we arrived very late at night) and a delicious breakfast :-)

Three of us were invited to a wedding on the Mull of Kintyre in February 2013 - I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in April. Sadly, the father of the bride to be died 12 days prior to the wedding. The wedding was cancelled. I immediately telephoned the owner of Alt-na-Craig and explained the situation. The owner was quite... More

We spent the night in the Allt-na-craig on route to visit friends, but also to spend time in Ardrishaig. It is a very imposing Victorian house, facing Loch Fyne. We were met by Hamish and Charlotte, the owners, and given a warm welcome. Our room was large and spacious looking over the Loch. The bathroom was of a good size... More

When we arrived we were met by Hamish with a cheery welcome, he explained a bit about the house and showed us to a very pleasant room, with tradition furniture, overlooking the front lawn and Loch Fyne. The excellent breakfasts were (I believe) cooked by Charlotte who was also a charming host. The hotel was always immaculately clean and tidy.... More

Lovely warm welcome. House has a lovely cosy feeling and although next to the main road, was very quiet. Lovely view of loch and formal gardens, even in the rain. Hamish and Charlotte, our hosts, were always very friendly and more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Cannot fault the breakfast or dinner. Would have stayed longer... More

We have stayed here twice, once on our way to check out a wedding venue in Kintyre and a few months later enroute to our wedding! A great stopover point if you are travelling to the Mull of Kintyre. Traditionally furnished clean and comfortable home with fantastic views, warm and welcoming hosts and fantastic breakfast. Loved the big bathrooms. A... More
