The 2 rooms were spacious and clean. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The meals that we ate there were very pleasant and there was no sense of being rushed or anything being a problem for the staff. The rooms that our family (parents and 3 kids) were very peaceful at night time and had lovely views... More

This could have been so much better, with only a little bit more effort. We stayed for four nights in what I suspect were the two best rooms in the hotel - Room 1 on the ground floor (for an elderly parent) and Room 8 on the first floor for ourselves. Both rooms had superb loch views from bay windows,... More

Not at all bad, and better than some of the reviews here would suggest. Some slightly unusual things on the menu, together with all the standard pub fare we’ve become accustomed to during our trip around Scotland. My wife settled for steak pie – which included sausage, quite a nice touch, but with the usual puff pastry hat(!) and which... More

Wed enjoyed a very spacious room with the usual coffee/tea making facilities, clean bathtub and comfortable bed. It wasn't shabby but had the air of a tired place and lacked charm. Few bathroom amenities (no shower cap, vanity kit, etc.). The dining room where we ate two dinners and two breakfasts was dreadful. The first night I ordered ostrich and... More

This hotel is very good. Staff are very nice and polite. The rooms are clean and tidy(maybe need painted). The food is good, very large portions. The hotel can get busy which means the car park fills up very fast despite it being a big car park. I would stay here anytime.

We had friends visiting so decided to go to the Grey Gull for dinner having heard that it's definitely worth visiting. The manager got us a table after a short wait which was great seeing as it was very busy. The starters were fine, two smoked salmon, one pate and one soup. Two had chicken madras for the main course... More

Arrived late at night from Islay Ferry. Were warmly greeted and shown to our spacious room which contained a four-poster bed! We were late rising the following morning but breakfast had been held over for us. What excellent service. Highly recommended and thanks to the local tourist information centre that found this gem for us.

We travelled to a wedding at Crerar and stayed three nights in the Grey Gull Hotel in Ardrisaig. We were welcomed and booked in by Jim (and his dog) who was friendly and told us we had room 8 the honeymoon suite. The room although a bit tired was nice and clean with a four poster bed, a bay window... More

Stayed here for 1 night in our Scotland driving holiday, and our expectations were exceeded! We enjoyed it so much that we tried to book in for a second night, but unfortunately they were booked out! Super friendly proprietors, super comfy beds and lovely bathroom.
