We stayed here for 8 days in December. The staff were fantastic and could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent and cooked to a very high standard throughout our stay. Going back to visit again

Stayed in the Grey Gull for 10 days as am looking to move to the area. Double room extremely comfortable and room very spacious with lovely view and all mod cons. Ate in the restaurant every evening and went through the varied menu. Must say food of a very high standard with generous portions and lots of nice specials to... More

Pleasant looking restaurant featuring work from local artists. Ordered burger which arrived without the bacon and cheese as stated on menu. On questioning this we were told we should have asked for it. We were however charged the same as if we had. Waitress seemed largely disinterested. Desserts not priced on menu. Unlikely to return.

Stayed in the Grey Gull for one night. The first time for a few years as it has been going through a bit of turmoil. It seems to have been sorted out by the new owners though. Met by a pleasant lady in reception who gave us a rundown on what has happened to the hotel over the past few... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Grey Gull in room 8. We had a wonderful view from the bedroom window over the loch and we had 2 very comfortable armchairs positioned to take full advantage of the views. We had a 4 poster bed and the room was spacious but warm. No bath but the shower was a large walk... More

Stayed recently with 3 other cyclists doing the Glasgow to Oban cycle ride. The location of the hotel was great and the rooms very clean and large. The welcome was very friendly and we had somewhere safe to store our bikes overbnight. The restaurant was very good, with lovely home cooked food and a superb selection of local beers to... More

The hotel does look very inviting from the outside but inside the tiredness of the building hits you immediately. When checking in we felt we were intruding upon the receptionists space, a tepid welcome indeed. The room was very spacious but dear me, dirty cups, lots of dust, a few strange cracks and marks on the walls, toilet seat did not... More
