I stayed two nights in July 2014 . Then room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Although I did not have a loch view it suited me well. At breakfast the view over the loch was amazing and the breakfast was delicious . Poached eggs were perfect just the way like them.. I ate in the hotel at night. Fish and... More

Another trip away on business and this time I was booked into The Grey Gull. There are a number of positives about the hotel - the staff are great expecially the chap in reception , the lovely girl who was doing everything in the restaurant at night (seriously - she must have walked miles - please give her a bonus... I stop here on average once a fortnight and I can well recommend it, friendly, great food, blackboard specials change often, good prices, self contained (no need to go out on a Winters night), real ale in bottle at the bar, most rooms have plenty of workspace for a laptop etc.....better than pricer places nearby.

I was at a family wedding which was going great until one of the chefs decided to start a fight with the best man. As well as the owners allowing a group of outside workers to be let into the restaurant where we were eating!! It all got a wee bit like handbags at dawn when the owners decided to... More

We were driving from Inveraray to the CALMAC ferry terminal in Kennacraig while trying to find a good restaurant for dinner on our return trip. That's when we spotted The Gray Gull Inn. It sits on the shore of Loch Fyne in Ardrishaig and has a wonderful view of the Loch from the restaurant. It was mid-afternoon, and I walked... More

We only stayed for one night, although we have stayed here before. Very helpful at reception, had reserved a room on the ground floor but we moved to a room overlooking the loch on the first floor. Room was large and well appointed, 4 poster bed ( very comfy ) and 2 chairs by the window with a fantastic view.... More

We all had an excellent meal and real ale to boot. Very friendly efficient service. Every meal we had from the menu was super. If anything we had a tad too much it's a shame when you have to leave food. The owner who is Kiwi made us all feel very welcome.

Had a lovely meal at the Grey Gull on Sunday evening so went back again on the Friday but were disappointed to find the restaurant was fully booked up for a coach trip. No signs on the door to let you know and they could do with some better hospitality training for staff (something which we found on a few... More
