We really enjoyed our night at Purgavie Farm. The house overlooks charming Scottish countryside and makes for a peaceful stay close to Cairngorms National Park. The room was private and was nicely furnished with soft and fluffy linen. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed getting to know our host Moira. Would highly recommend this BnB

When I first arrived at Purgavie Farm with my gran we were so frustrated. I had never been told how to use the code for the GPS and by the time I figured it out I had been driving in circles for 40 minutes. It says located in Kirriemuir but it seems a fair distance from there. When we arrived... More

We stayed a night with Moira. This is a great place to stay in the country. Moira is a very obliging host. The facilities were very good and the breakfast was great. There are lots of activities available in the surrounding area. I went to Edradour Distillery and we also visited Pitlochly which is a great little town.

I have stayed with Moira Clark several times and she is truly accommodating, I have had breakfast with Americans, New Zealanders, Norwegians to name but a few, her Scottish Breakfasts are very FULL the toast does not run out!!! Beautiful scenery too, a lovely part of the world. I will be back there in October 2015.

This is a proper working farm B&B and found the hospitality and food to be excellent. Breakfast consisted of local and homemade produce which was just excellent and together with Moira's local knowledge of what to see and do around the area it was just what we wanted!.There was no time-frame dictating how long we spent over breakfast, Moira made... We stayed at Purgavie for 2 nights. We stayed in Glen Clova room which was very comfortable and roomy. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Moira was very welcoming. The farm has a lovely setting looking towards the Sidlaw Hills and near the Loch of Lintrathen. We will certainly stay there again if we are in the... More

We had the Glen Cova Room, where the bathroom is ensuite but separate from the bedroom in that it is outside the bedroom but inside the unit making the bathroom very private, and the large room also. The bathroom is large with a bath and separate shower. There was also a 2nd wash basin in the bedroom. The bed was... More

We stayed here for 1 night mid June in the Glenclova room. It was spacious and very comfortable and had everything (and more!) that we needed. The breakfast was delicious. It was lovely to be in the beautiful country setting. Moira was charming and wonderfully friendly and we felt as if we had known her for years. We had come... More

We stayed two nights on Purgavie Farm and we wished we could have stayed longer. Moira Clark was a wonderful, warmful and heartily host, serving us an excellent scottish/continental breakfast at her large dining table in the middle of the familar spacious farmhouse. Our room was large and friendly and all what travellers need was supplied. Lying in the wonderful... More
