Stayed here with family also staying in the b&b and the chalet. Views are amazing, house and room and extremely big and impeccably clean. Moira and Dave are both all and more you would want from hosts. Can't recommend highly enough.

Purgavie Farm is a beautiful old farm; warm; comfortable and Mrs Clark does very, very good breakfasts. We were there from 28th to 30th November and the weather was also good. The views of sun-rises at about 8.15am from our bedroom were wonderful.

We were looking for somewhere to stay near Glenclova for a friend's 50th at the Glenclova hotel. The hotel was full and we found this B&B as an alternative. Very friendly, great room and good breakfasts.

Our stay at purgavie farm was as good as staying in a four star hotel or better, and we have stayed in plenty. Mrs Clark was really friendly and could not do enough to help you. She welcomed our 2 dogs in and showed me where I could walk them. The room was excellent really clean and the shower was... More

A recent visitor to Purgavie wrote that the evening meal was "pricey" Mrs. Clark makes an excellent three course dinner plus coffee and only charges £16. All her ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and is all made on the premises (no packets or tins) and fresh. Even if the visitor had driven into Kirriemuir to one of the... More

We have stayed at Purgavie for a good few years and whether its been for a couple of nights B&B or to stay in Tipperwhig log cabin, we have always felt at home, relaxed and looked after. Purgavie is outstanding for its views and to see wildlife around the fields. Even on less sunny days the scenery is breathtaking. There... More

Stayed a couple of nights as we travelled back home from the highlands. Moira is an attentive and helpful host. The accommodation, on a working farm, is of good standard providing for a relaxing time amid rolling hills. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. We enjoyed two evening meals with good home cooking - though somewhat pricey. We enjoyed... More

Purgavie is a working farm. The barn roof is in disrepair. Rabbits sneak through the hedgerows. Acres of carrots and barley push through the soil into the spring sunshine. Sheep graze on the hillside to the east of the house. From the windows of the upstairs rooms the farmland rolls away towards hills caught by light as if in a... More

Just enjoyed 3 nights in the Scandinavian style lodge. Very clean and everything you good possibly need after a hard day out on the hill. Not the first time I have been and certainly will not be the last. Thanks Moira. Regards Harry
