Ate here a little while ago, we waited until it had been open for a few weeks to allow teething issues to be ironed out before visiting and were disappointed with both the food and service. The food was well below average and poor value for money, the service was cold but efficient, no greeting or smiles. Not keen to... More

We drove by this lovely Inn in the morning and decided to turn and have a coffee there, one of the best decisions I made in a long time! As we entered we immediatly realised, that they were still closed and we apologised and wanted to leave. But the very friendly gentleman who was hoovering at the time told us... More

We were heading into Aberdeen and decided to stop for lunch at the Newburgh Inn. What a fantastic little place! We had lunched there before when it was the Ythan hotel but it has since been refurbished to a very good standard. The meal was excellent - served by friendly, attentive staff in a very pleasant surroundings. The prices were... More

Bit of a surprise, popped in for some dinner after work Friday night not sure what to expect, it was lovely! The food was burning hot, service quick and we really enjoyed our meal and drinks. Keep it going! We will be back

Stumbled on it by accident. Had been seal watching in the estuary and took a different way back. Suprised to find it sold four cask ales and offered West lager along with the usual Tennants. Public bar very clean with a large ships wheel on the wall. Very impressed to find the cask ales, a joy.

Went here for a family meal after work/school on a Tuesday evening. First ever visit and will not be the last. Got given a booth table which was great, ordered drinks, and then took a while for us to decide what to order, menu looked so good, eventually we decided, my husband ordered the black pudding scotch egg, and when... I ate here recently with my friend, for a quick meal on way to Aberdeen for a concert. We enjoyed the mains and desserts and the decor was lovely. However we both agreed although it was perfect for what we needed that night, it wouldnt be somewhere for a special occasion for example. We did enjoy our food though and... More

We shared the black pudding scotch egg starter, which was Luke warm but otherwise tasty. Salad was a tad brown and gritty so we had to leave that. Menu overall didn't excite us much, but had the typical pub grub for selection. We both had burgers which were cooked well. Didn't like that everything was served on slate, hated the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'll love the choice here at The Newburgh Inn. As well as wonderful pub-food classics such as handmade Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers and locally landed hand-battered North Sea haddock and homemade chips, we also offer some modern twists. Bring the kids along, too. As a family-friendly pub, we pride ourselves on providing good food for the little ones as well. So we offer smaller portions of some of our main dishes, as well as a dedicated set price menu Our chefs work closely with our suppliers daily and weekly sourcing our fresh produce from within a 50 mile radius of our premises. We support and invest in our local farmers and industry, purchasing only the freshest local produce each and every day. We work with our suppliers to ensure that we have a manageable and sustainable source of produce which is environmentally farmed. Co-owner Martin can often be found traipsing through farms checking out the produce for quality and looking at the current farming methods. ... more   less
