My husband and I stayed here with my parents in September 2005. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of our 2 week trip to Scotland. The food was out of this world. We all still talk about it! The setting is beautiful and the family that runs it treats you like a friend. We would go back in a... more

Original home of the founder of Glen Livet Distillery, Minore is smack bang next to the distillery on the beautiful Glenlivet Estate. A beautiful but comfortable old house, it is a great location for fishing which can be done on the A'an or the Spey and walking. Lynne will provide you with a map of the estate. Our room was... more

From the instant we walked in, we we're treated like we've been there a dozen times. Very intimate setting, in a beautiful part of Scotland. On learning my wife has nut allergies, Lynne, a most gracious host, ensured Victor knew immediately, so he had time to bake separate bread for her. As we had a few hours till dinner, and... more

I booked the Minmore House as a surprise for my husband's 40th Birthday, staying in the Tomitoul Suite. The room was beautiful, right at the top of the house so excellent views out of all windows. You can lay in the cavernous bath and enjoy uninterrupted views across the hills. We were fortunate to have sunny weather for the 3... more

The food really is quite outstanding (one of the best in scotland), the hosts are friendly and very welcoming (even the two wee dogs welcome everyone). There's some interesting fishing on the Avon, if you are looking for a smaller and I think more interesting alternative to the mighty Spey/Tay. The location is perfect for touring Speyside and the whisky... more

We arrived quite late in the afternoon for a 2 night stay & on arrival was warmly welcomed by Lynne. After a brief chat she showed us to our room & offered us tea which we took in the sitting room, served in delicate china cups on a silver tray & teapot .The sitting room was delightful, a typical country... more

Having just finished a 4-week holiday all over the UK, Minmore House is easily, and by a large margin, the favorite hotel of our trip. Our family of four had two adjoining rooms, both of which were very spacious, bright and pleasant, with nice views. The common rooms, from the dining room, to the fireside bar, to the drawing room,... more

Minmore House is a delightful country house located on the Glen Livet Estate. It is very personably run by the owners, who formerly lived in Durban South Africa. The food is especially delectable! Don't miss the very very British high tea...which included an amazing Pavlova. Wonderful, comfortable rooms, not overly fancy, but homey and charming. Lovely bar with hundreds of... more

We just returned from our first trip to Scotland, where we spent two nights at Minmore. I can't praise this country hotel enough! Lynne is a wonderful hostess, and Victor, her husband, a fabulous chef! We originally booked dinner for only the first night, but it was so good that we booked the next night also. Minmore lets you experience... more

I surprised my husband with a stay at Minmore House for our anniversary and we didn't want to leave. The proprietors, Victor and Lynne, are great hosts who make you feel welcome from the second you step foot on the property. Nightly dinner at Minmore is not to be missed. The food, the wine, and the service are all excellent. I... more
