This was our third time here in the log cabins at Braemar and we had a great time. The cabin's are spacious and seem to have been updated since our last visit and provide a good base for exploring Braemar and Glenshee and other local areas. Be warned that the electricity is metered in the cabins and it cost us... More

We stayed at the campsite next door and decided to pop in as it says on their board outside that they are open to non residents from I think it was 6pm. Got all ready to go for what we thought would be a nice night out to be told no, they were a "licensed hotel" and therefore only open... More

I really enjoyed this place. Room was clean and bedding was lovely. Furniture a little dated but overall lovely room. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was excellent. Bar well stocked. no draft beer but did have a Guinness machine that made cans like a proper pint. Would definitely go again!

I had stayed in this hotel a couple of times in recent years and liked the Highland atmosphere. My dinner was fine. However this time, in room 3, I was kept awake until 12.15am by a noisy crowd of men in the bar. Room 3 is not above the bar and is at the other side of the building on... More

Hi. Thank for your review, We normally serve last orders in the bar at 11pm. & have the bar cleared by 11.30pm but as week 18th - 25th Oct. was Breamar Festival Week we held an Italian night in the Restaurant on 20th Oct and I am thinking that is the night in question. We had over 90 meals that... More

We spent one night here. Very typical scottish hunting lodge with lots of deer heads on display. The hotel was a wee bit tired looking, and could do with a bit updating, our room was ok. But the reason I have given this a very good is for the amazing meal we had in the resturant. This was a real... More

Had a nice weekend break here in the lodge hotel b&b. Very peaceful and quiet with friendly staff. Young girl at breakfast was kind enough to show us around the lodges as we have friends who are considering a break in the summer. House has nice old charm about it and is clean with modern decor in the dining area....... More

This was an interesting place to stay. We arrived at a busy time, but were able to secure one of the "log cabins". VERY Spacious ! The cabin would easily sleep 6 self-catering. Since we weren't doing our own cooking on this vacation, we ate in the adjacent Lodge. Great menu, great taste. One quirky thing about the cabins -... More

Hello Thank you for your review But Water meters We do (not) or never had water meters in the Log Cabins ? Electric meters Due to some guests leaving the heating on 24 hours per day when gone away for the day and leaving the windows open, we have been advised to put meters in. As you have said you... Stopped by when on a tour of the Highlands on motorbikes and we were waved away as we approached the front door with a statement that they were full - when one of our group explained that he would like to book for an event in TWO years time, yes TWO years in advance, we were told that they had... My friend Al and I stayed in Cabin No. 9 over the bank holiday weekend. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable beds, laze about leather chairs and sofa. We chose not to cook, we chose to eat in the restaurant. Not that there's anything wrong with the kitchen in the cabin. It's all there, hob, oven, zapper, toaster, kettle, fridge. Essentially... We went to the Braemar Lodge Hotel to attend the Wedding of Ali & Michael Tait. I can only say the wedding meal was first class and fantastic. We decided to extend our stay in one of the cabins for a further 5 days and the hosts & staff were really accommodating and really quick to help us if we... More
