We stayed at Callater Lodge for a couple of nights in August. Liz and Andy were very friendly and welcoming - e.g. when we arrived 'have you eaten?' and volunteering dinner ideas. Andy was a great help about walking, loaning maps, suggesting routes and printing information for us. One room was gorgeous, the other rather small.

Very good room - spacious and well furnished. Good living room and use of large garden. Excellent breakfast, and good welcome from owners. Right across the road from restaurant with Grampian's prize-winning chef. What more can you ask of a B&B?

This was the best guest house we have stayed in for a long time. Liz and Andy were perfect hosts and had thought of everything. The room was brilliant with lots of little finishing touches which really gave that added extra. breakfast was also great. There was lots of information and books on the local area and a lovely garden... More

My husband & I stayed 3 nights last week. We were really impressed by the standards of Callater Lodge. Found the room (6) to be very well decorated and spotless. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked. The owners, Liz & Andy were absolutely brilliant! Couldn't be more caring and helpful. We felt 'cared for' during our stay and really enjoyed conversations with... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. when we arrived the owners gave us lots of useful information on the area such as places to eat, where to visit etc. We had a spotless big room at the front of the house overlooking the road, ( hardly any traffic uses the road so it was nice and quiet)... While we were on our honeymoon, my husband and I stayed here while we were in Braemar. It was a wonderful B&B and we felt welcome as soon as we got there. The scenery was beautiful and our view from our window looking out to the garden was great. There were hiking trails right next to the B&B and Andy... More

A lovely Guest House with a warm and friendly welcome. Our double room was warm and spacious and included little extras which we did not expect. It was typical of a good management style with these little unexpected extras in our room. There is a good choice for breakfast and plenty of it and all served in a very friendly... More

My wife and I booked Callater Lodge from the Tourist Information Centre at Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness, in a desperate, last minute attempt to find somewhere to stay that night on our way down to Edinburgh. What a gem we happened upon! We were greeted by Liz & Andy and shown to our beautiful "Blue Room" overlooking the garden to the... More

Made to feel very welcome and extremely well looked after during our two night stay. Breakfasts were varied and lovely. The owners were very helpful with showing us maps of walks in the area and directing to the starting point of the walks, Nothing seemed too much bother.

We stayed at Callater Lodge for one night recently and had a very comfortable stay. Our room was lovely, of a reasonable size, bright, clean and nicely decorated. As it was late we didn't go out but instead had a cup of tea and a biscuit in our room using the tea/ coffee facilities which we were very grateful for.... More
