We chose to stay here for a week for a walking holiday, encouraged by the positive reviews, and they are all true! Liz and Andy were perfect hosts, warm and friendly, the room was generously proportioned, very clean and comfortable; breakfasts were delicious and there are numerous local walks. Andy was happy to suggest a few that didn't appear in... More

We stayed at Callater Lodge for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier. Andy kindly stayed up late to let us in after our late flight and got us settled quickly in a lovely room with plenty of space for all our kit and a bath I knew I was going to appreciate after skiing. The food was great. Plenty... More

I stayed at the Callater Lodge Guest House with my boyfriend for three nights. It was exceptional value for money and we will be returning very soon. The location was fabulous being just 5-10 minutes from the biggest ski resort in the UK. Perfect for us. We were given a fabulously friendly welcome by Liz and Andy who were perfect... More

Upon arrival, Liz & Andy (Andy’s hair is pretty awesome) welcomed us with a great big smile. Not only did they provide a clean, comfortable, cozy room, they also helped us avoid eating at a terrible restaurant. The restaurant they recommended also happened to be their choice of place to dine that evening. After a few drinks, we stumbled across... More

Superb B&B, with a friendly welcome, comfortable room and good breakfast. House was warm and had an excellent drying room which is essential for damp-snowsports in Scotland :) We only stayed for two nights (would have been three, taking advantage of the 3 for 2 midweek offer, but the weather caught us out) and I would happily have stayed longer.... My girlfriend and I visited for a weekend away from Edinburgh. Andy & Liz were great hosts (and very helpful with advising us on walks in the area!), the room was warm and extremely comfortable and there was a good selection of breakfasts available. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, great value for money and in a gorgeous setting.

This was a single bed night only, but reading other comments and seeing the actuality it is all true. The rooms are immaculately clean, the welcome warm and the service excellent from Andy and Liz. The location beside the main road is simple to find, the village is within yards, the facilities, including a drying room, spacious and beautifully decorated... More

That's what's written at the reception, and Andy & Liz make it true! Me and my wife spent just one night, but we were really sorry to leave! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! We hope to come back soon and visit your home again! Roberto & Valentina from Milan, Italy

One night in Braemar on a spur-of-the-moment trip, and we were fortunate (with some help from Tripadvisor!) to find this lovely B&B. We've stayed in Braemar before, but have either been disappointed, or found that previously good accommodation has changed hands and gone downhill. At Callater Lodge, the welcome from Andy and Liz was friendly and helpful. The room was... More

Beautiful old Scottish house, just slightly on the edge of the village, so a little quieter. Very comfortable bed and lovely owners (Seem's all b&b's are owned by expat Londoners escaping the big horrible City life!), Braemer is in a stunning corner of the Cairngorms...
