My wife and I enjoyed Cranford Guest House for four nights in late May as our base for day trips around the Cairngorms. Our entire experience was positive, right from the welcome pot of tea. Sarah is a great host (never got to meet Alistair). The breakfast selections were brilliant, from lighter offerings to salmon or full Scottish. Sarah was... More

It's well worth staying here just to sample Sarah's breakfasts - you'll struggle to decide between the continental, full cooked (inc black pudding), kippers, and scrambled egg on smoked salmon. And for Munro-baggers like us it was very stylish to be presented with the proper mountain weather forecast each morning. And to be welcomed back in the afternoon with a... More

Great overnight at Cranford with warm and welcoming hosts! Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated, also ample parking. Breakfast was delicious, appetising and well prepared. Can really recommend Cranford - it's modern, fresh and efficiently run.

Very good B&B with friendly and helpful owners. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and tasty scones. Perfect arrival. The room was clean, good in size and equipped with everything you need. The B&B has a small lounge to sit and enjoy a glas of whisky and there are some places for dinner in walking distance. The breakfast... More

We stayed two night here this weekend so we could attend a wedding and I honestly couldn't fault the guest house and it's owners at all! We got a lovely welcome on tthe Friday night, our party had come from all over Scotland and we hadn't had tea but they turned their dining room over to us so we could... More

I stayed at the Cranford for a couple of nights prior to, and one after a four day backpacking trip in the Cairngorms. A friendly wecome, substantial and delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds and a lovely soak in a hot bath were just what I needed. I was grateful for the welcome given my large dog, and extensive knowledge of the... More

My wife and I stayed at Cranford recently while functioning as support team for our son who was engaged on a 200-mile trek (The Great Outdoors Challenge) across Scotland. Although we hadn’t realised when booking, Cranford is ideally situated near to the Braemar Youth Hostel where our son had booked in. Besides providing excellent hospitality for my wife and I,... A great location to explore the area including Glenshee and Balmoral. Plenty of parking, a wonderful huge bed, great facilities, very friendly, great breakfast. The host was fantastic - full of useful information about the area.

We stayed for one night and I would happily return. The location is ideal and there were fabulous views from our room. The room itself was immaculate and tastefully decorated. What really stood out was the service. We arrived early but were welcomed and offered tea. We were even left some homemade brownies in our room which were delicious! We... More
