We stayed 1 night at Cranford Guest House on our way to Inverness. Our plan was to stay overnight in Braemar but we didn't have a reservation. We were lucky to find a room available in this wonderful Guest House. Sarah made us feel at home right away. The room was clean and comfortable. We spent a restful night which... More

We have just returned from a fab weekend at the Cranford Guesthouse, where we stayed for a weekend of skiing at Glenshee. Our first impression was excellent as, even though we arrived after 10pm, we received a warm welcome and Sarah even made us a pot of tea with home made cookies (which were delicious-thanks!). The guesthouse is clean and... More

My 11 year old daughter Jasmin and I stayed with Al and Sarah is their wondertful cosy and comfy bed and breakfast in Braemar. It is in the perfect location, we were able to hire our skis etc 5 minutes from our B&B and be on the slopes 30 minutes later. It is ideally situated in a picturesque town and... More

Just stayed at the Cranford Guest House the last two nights and really can't say enough about it. Al and Sarah are excellent hosts, the room was perfect in every way and the breakfasts superb. It was our second stay in the last three years, having chosen it initially because of its location and the fact that our three chihuahuas... More

We stopped here for a night with our over friendly dog for just one night. We were made to feel very welcome and as though nothing would be too much trouble. They were very good with our dog and didn't find the fact she loves everyone and everything! The couple spent ages chatting to us and we really enjoyed their... More

My elderly mother (92) wanted to visit Braemar as she has many happy memories of numerous family visits as well as spending her honeymoon there in 1944. When I phoned Sarah I asked if she had a ground floor room and she offered my mum the family room which was absolutely perfect. She also said she would introduce us to... More

Stayed Sunday 27th for one night, family of four. Lovely room, fantastic breakfast with great choices. Good night sleep for daughters meant the same for us. We have stayed in many b&b's in Braemar. This is the best and we hope to return again soon. PS, loved the chocolate brownies.

We have just had a fabulous 5 nights at Cranford, made so by the lovely Sarah who goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and help you get the most out of the local area. Recommending local areas to walk and providing the maps too! Breakfasts were excellent, full breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast or continental it... More

Don't mus-interpret the "adequate". The facility, the comfort, and the breakfasts were all excellent. If there was anything lacking it would be the "at home" feeling that we got in other B&Bs in Scotland. Cranford House was more like a nice, little, family run hotel. Anyhow, I didn't mean to make this a negative. We certainly recommend this as the... More

We ended our Scottish holiday with 6 nights at the Cranford Guest House owned by Sarah & Alistair Hubbard. What a wonderful experience! This was largely due to the warmth and hospitality of Sarah our hostess who from the moment we arrived made sure we were happy and well cared for - she even did our washing! As Alistair was... More
