My first B & B experience was at the wonderful Cranford Guest House in Braemar. We were greeted by Sarah with a beautiful smile followed by brownies and tea - what more could you ask for? We laughed at Sauri and Al staying with Sarah and Al. Our room was lovely and comfortable and Sarah was very helpful in recommending... More

We had two nights staying at the very welcoming Cranford Guest House. The room was lovely and the breakfasts marvellous. They even passed my exacting porridge test. Nothing was too much trouble and both Sarah and Ali are very knowledgable about the surrounding area and in particular outdoor sports.

Stayed two nights for a mixture of work and munro bagging. Sarah and Alistair are very welcoming and very friendly and Cranford Guest House offers excellent, very comfortable accommodation. Delicious breakfasts and very helpful local advice. The small lounge is great - I enjoyed a wee dram (with a suitable donation to Al and his Mountain Rescue colleagues) while browsing... More

Loved this place-beautiful inside & out. The hostess is very helpful & friendly, even did up our laundry for us. Beautiful home & grounds & near downtown area & walking trails. Hostess has a lovely, lilting English accent.

We had a wonderful stay in July 2014 to walk the Lairig Ghru. Sarah is a great host and we especially appreciated the home baking. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Great location too. Braemar is a great base to explore the Cairngorms.

We stayed here for one night during August 2014. We stayed in a family room which appeared newly decorated and to a high standard. Our room was a good size although our friends room was a lot smaller. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were of a very high standard offering kippers and smoked salmon and scrambled... More

My wife and I enjoyed Cranford Guest House for four nights in late May as our base for day trips around the Cairngorms. Our entire experience was positive, right from the welcome pot of tea. Sarah is a great host (never got to meet Alistair). The breakfast selections were brilliant, from lighter offerings to salmon or full Scottish. Sarah was... More

Thanks for the review and we're glad you had an enjoyable stay. Sorry the internet was a bit slow. We have recently had an engineer out to fix the problem and our broadband is now back up to speed! Best wishes, Sarah More

It's well worth staying here just to sample Sarah's breakfasts - you'll struggle to decide between the continental, full cooked (inc black pudding), kippers, and scrambled egg on smoked salmon. And for Munro-baggers like us it was very stylish to be presented with the proper mountain weather forecast each morning. And to be welcomed back in the afternoon with a... More

Thanks very much for your review. I would like to take credit for the breakfasts, but it is actually Al who cooks those! Hope to welcome you again if you still have some unfinished Munro's to climb in the area? Kind regards, Sarah and Al More

Great overnight at Cranford with warm and welcoming hosts! Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated, also ample parking. Breakfast was delicious, appetising and well prepared. Can really recommend Cranford - it's modern, fresh and efficiently run.

Very good B&B with friendly and helpful owners. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and tasty scones. Perfect arrival. The room was clean, good in size and equipped with everything you need. The B&B has a small lounge to sit and enjoy a glas of whisky and there are some places for dinner in walking distance. The breakfast... More

Thanks for taking the time to review. Glad you enjoyed the scones. We always like to welcome our guests with some fresh home baking and tea or coffee and to hear about their days travels. Glad you also enjoyed a wee dram too! Kind regards, Sarah and Al More
