We have recently spent a three night self-drive weekend break at the Shearings owned Invercauld Arms Hotel Braemar. This hotel, as befits what was originally an 18th century castle, is steeped in an "Olde Worlde" atmosphere. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as a birthday surprise for my partners mother. The staff are super,the rooms comfortable ( if a little worse for wear) and the food was reasonably good. The restaurant staff were excellent and extremely helpful in springing the birthday cake and bouquet of flowers on the birthday girl. Only complaint would be... more

We spent this New Year at The Invercauld Arms on a Shearings coach holiday, the Hotel is also owned by Shearings . We had a really fantastic time Exxcellent food, loveley rooms and a very warm welcome for us Sassanachs.
