We booked rooms at the Fyfe Arms Hotel in July 2014 for the Hogmanay Festivities and received confirmation of the booking and paid our deposits. We had been to the Hotel on two previous occassions and although it had seen better days we were satisfied with the accommodation and the food was great. It was always fully booked. In the... More

We visited the Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar in July this year. It was old and quaint but quite clean and the food was excellent. We have a lovely room overlooking the town. The town itself is lovely and the people very friendly. New hotels in this area would not really fit in. Enjoyed our stay. John & Gail Laney

Bus tour to this hotel £77 for 3 days. Hotel is old but clean and food was lovely. Entertainment at night left a lot to be desired but what do you expect for the money we paid. Waiting staff were excellent and done their best to please everyone which is not easy. All in all good for a cheap weekend... More

Having worked all over Europe and the USSR this has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in FULL STOP........from the outside looks ok but don't go pass the door, the bedrooms are a joke and dinner well where do you start? The bedroom if that's what you call it was 10 foot by 8 foot and to... More

Me and my hubby booked in there for a 1 night stopover. Have not pre booked as we travelled in low season. Very welcome reception. Showed us 2 rooms. Amongst deciding we took an executive room. Very nice and spacious. Loved the decor and feeling of past times. Only down side was that there was no hot water. We thought... More

Called into this traditional but up to date pub when in Braemar recently. Had everything you could need; good drink, fair prices and, crucially, friendly, helpful staff. Good surrounding and well worth popping into.

This Hotel looks very grand in a traditional Scottish way from the outside - but the grandeur has obviously faded a bit once you move inside. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the National Park, but it is dated & old. We only stayed one night on our way through to Aberdeen so it wasn't a big... More
