We booked in for 2 nights as my partner had stayed previously. We weren't particularly concerned to find that it had changed hands - until we arrived.... Our room was dirty - the shower room was disgusting - they hadn't even attempted to clean the washbasin or floor. There was dust on everything - cobwebs in the window, rings marks... More

We came here for one night on a short trip and were very pleased. First, it was the ONLY B&B for less than £100 pounds a night and as we had so many activities and sightseeing planned, we just wanted a place to rest our heads that night. We were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous location and comfortable room, unlike... More

Stayed here for one night in august 2013. A nice house with an interesting history. Clean room although the bathroom clearly needs a makeover. Also the bathtub is placed right underneath sloping walls which makes it impossible to take a shower. Not much pressure on the water either so it takes forever to fill the tub. Nice, clean and spacious... More

We came here for two nights because of the good previous reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately the owners changed about one year ago, and the least I can say is that they don't seem to be much interested in leading a B&B... To give a quick summary : - Very quick welcome, with the minimal informations - Room barely cleaned... More

We have owned business for two yeard get that straight first. Most people leave very happy. Last time i checked the business sign it states Ben and Breakfast not laundry mat. Your shirts and socks were old and faded so don't know where your coming from like it was an amani suit. The house is clean daily and Susan takes... More

When I arrived I thought I was at the wrong place. A very beautiful old fashion house with a private drive. The room was very spacious. The owners are very nice and friendly. Ken is an american from Chicago (if I remember it well). I, one single person, had to pay 50 pounds for a double bed and the bathroom... More

I am quite surprised by the harshness of some if the reviews. I thought it had all the basic needs, cleaniness, quiet, confortable and welcoming. We saw our hosts in the morning having a bit of a chat and they were very helpful when our little one got sick. The house is quaint with beautiful views on the Highlands and... More

Thank you for the kind review. Having purchased Clunie Lodge last April we inherited a beautiful house that keeps with tradition. It is hard to decide how far to modernize a traditional old Manse like Clunie Lodge. We did a lot of work over the winter getting new bedding and towels for some rooms. In addition doing some upgrades to... More

What a disappointment. We booked this B&B back in April for 2 nights, as the reviews on Tripadvisor were very good. When we arrived, we were met by the owners daughter, shown to our room, which was up many flights of steps, and had a breakfast menu shoved under our nose. There was no orientation to the guest house -... More

We stayed here over the Braemar Games Weekend. Very disappointing. Lovely location is spoiled by the tired and outdated interiors and linens. In addition the cooked breakfast is so far below standard as to be embarrassing. The black pudding was hard and obviously cooked well in advance or worse case yesterday. I should also mention the old cheap towels and... More

The Clunie Lodge was outstanding! The location, facilities and staff were excellent. The lodge is located just off the main street in Braemar with great views of the highlands and the immediate countryside. Great place to stay for any excursions in and around Braemar.
