We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. We were touring Scotland on motorcycles and found a friendly welcome here. The room was quite small but clean and functional. The wi-fi was good and the food excellent. It is in a remote position but when touring Scotland that's part of the deal. The hosts were friendly and the bar was reasonably... More

For me, this was a couple of days away from being a full-time carer for my 94 year old mother. I was kinda desperate for some time off and was determined to enjoy it. I received a friendly welcome, was told where food was served; evening meals at the bar or restaurant, and breakfasts, also in the restaurant. I was... More

Although I've eaten here before, I'd not stayed in the hotel until this week. I was a little apprehensive as this type of hotel tends to be either really good or really bad. Fortunately we had a great stay. The rooms are very clean and functional. The staff are very friendly and the food served was very tasty. Poolewe is... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us. We are delighted to hear that you had a "great stay" and will be visiting us again. As you so rightly point out the hotel is in a remote location and very reasonably priced. We are a small independently run Coaching Inn, set in a... More

We only stayed at the Poolewe hotel and unfortunately we're not greatly impressed. It was a perfectly serviceable place to stay, but lacked the finesse and quality that you would expect from such an established hotel! We had rooms in the annex, which unfortunately we're not very soundproof, inside or out.the big kicker was that my shower did not give... More

We were delighted to read your comments in particular "the hotel is a gorgeous place to spend the night and a great base for visiting the area". Also that you greatly enjoyed your dinner, especially the steak and ale pie the "yummy" breakfast. The hotel is indeed ideally located for so many activities, hill walking, fishing, visiting the famous Inverewe... More

We stayed here as a couple for our nephew's wedding late June 2015 for three nights. Clean, but tiny rooms with suspect wiring. Okay bar food. Good breakfast with smoked haddock but surprisingly you have to ask for the national staple porage and it is inedible. Well situated for local attractions. Quiet, comfortable.

Stayed here for 1 night, rooms were clean but in need of updating, food was straight forward and tasty. downside of the annex is the waste bins you have to pass to reach it. Good location and fabulous scenery. A bit pricey for what's on offer but could be good with a bit more attention to detail.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the "good location and fabulous scenery" our hotel has to offer, With regard to the waste bins outside the annexe I understand that it was bin collection day so unfortunately the bins were more prominently displayed. We appreciate that bins are unsightly and we do try to ensure that they are discreetly... More

I stayed with friends in May for a couple of nights and found the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. It was my first visit to the area and the hotel position and surrounding area is stunning. I was lucky to have a room with a view across the bay. You could see that someone had paid a lot of attention... More

Good points- excellent location, lovely food and lovely bedding /towels etc with excellent view from room. Bad points- wallpaper hanging off bathroom walls and light hanging out, also had to wait an hour for breakfast, poor waitress on her own. This hotel is lovely, just needs a bit of TLC
