This hotel, under new ownership, was buzzing with locals and tourists. Food was unexpectedly good - fresh and varied and served and prepared by competent and hard working staff. Public rooms and bedrooms a bit worn and old fashioned, but light and not tatty - good lounging opportunities and certainly the kind of place you just settle into and end... more

my partner and my self have just returned from a n exellent week end in the kinlochbervie hotel.Food was of a very good standard not over priced and exellently prepared. The Hotel does have a great location, however the rooms, dining room and bar are very dated and in need of updating. The dark brown walls in the bathroom and homemade stencilled freeze were particular examples of things that could go. With a lick of paint and a few more smiles from the staff the location would sell this hotel.... more

Fantastic location in the Scottish Highlands with beautiful views across the lochs and mountains. Hotel itself is like many encountered in the Highlands in that it is now suddenly fashionable thanks to never updating their 1970's decor. Retro is back in style at this hotel.
