We had a twin room, which was comfortable and nicely furnished. Really good sized bathroom with an excellent shower. The farmhouse is situated about 20 minutes... More

Very relaxing place to stay. Lovely country park close by with great walks. Elizabeth is a superb hostess and makes you feel very welcome. Rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast menu is given to you the night before to choose what you want. I am not a great lover of this method as like to decide... More

We stayed at the Ashcroft Farmhouse and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hostess, Elizabeth, was very helpful in giving us directions to places to eat and how to find the Park & Ride to catch the bus into downtown Edinburgh for the shopping and the Tattoo. She's also an excellent cook with delicious breakfasts. She packed up some cheese... More

We stayed here for two nights. We found our host, Elizabeth, to be affable and very helpful, she is also a great cook! The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. It is close to Edinburgh but very tranquil.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay here. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal but we don't expecxt Austrlian weather in this area, but the warmth of the 'Scott's welcome' makes up for it! Hope you will come again in the future. More

A perfect B&B. Elizabeth is a perfect host (I am not surprised she won so many awards, well deserved!!), super-nice, fun and witty. She clearly is a professional! B&B is very nice and the room was very clean. The B&B is definitely off the beaten path but if you have a car you can easily reach a Park & Ride... More

This was our second stay at ASHCROFT. Our first visit was only two short nights. This time we stayed for four. Elizabeth and Derek Scott could not be better hosts. Glad you arrived home safely and delighted that you enjoyed your stay, where I tried to fatten you up every morning! It is lovely when previous guests make a return visit as we know that we must be doing something right. The free Park & Ride is a great asset for us as parking in Edinburgh is a nightmare and...
