Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights while attending a training course. Room was very comfortable and well presented. Meals were very good as well I had lunch and evening meal in the hotel. Staff were very helpful and pleasant . Plenty of parking on site. Pleased to find free wife throughout hotel and in the rooms. Overall... More

Visited Mercure Livingston for a weekend stay 19th & 20th July to visit Livingston, Edinburgh and queens ferry. The location is great as its the centre for all the three places with plenty free parking. Our booking included two day breakfast and a night dinner, food at the restaurant had limited choices but tasted great and staff were friendly. On... More

Nice spacious room with bathroom Friendly staff, we didn't have any issue, it's ideal if you have to catch an early flight from Edinburgh airport Besides hotel there is not much more, city center seems to be the mall 1 km away where you can shop 24/7, eat and walk

stayed there for 1 night in June, rooms were clean and tidy. we had our evening meal there which was good but the service was on the slow side but breakfast was self service. Used the pool and sauna which were a good size for the size of the hotel.

Have stayed here previously and enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately our last stay fell short of the great expectations we had due to noisy children next door who were back and forth to the room and yelling at each other until 2am (this started at 10pm). Three complaints later (we were told we weren't the only ones) and they eventually got... More

I have to admit, we didn't choose to stay here thinking it would be amazing. Me and my partner came on her staff rate and just wanted somewhere cheap enough to stay whilst we explored Edinburgh over the weekend. The location is good - not a long drive into Edinburgh city (and well sign posted) - and there's the outlet... More

The hotel has no 'curve" appeal, unloved outside, lots of cigarette ends and weeds - we were a little worried when we arrived. Inside, clean, tidy and modern. Room fine, as you would expect - a family room Pool area, small but perfectly formed - we had it to ourselves which was nice Breakfast good Fire alarm at 7.30am not... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to feedback following your recent stay. We are pleased the family room met your expectations but are disappointed that other elements of the visit were not so good. Unwanted fire alarms are regretted by all but, once alerted we need to evacuate to ensure safety while investigations are made. I do hope... More

Stayed here as part of a pre arranged trip to Edinburgh and whilst the hotel is very clean and comfortable with huge super king size beds, I was frustrated by the general negative attitude of the staff, particularly in the restaurant. Only one member of staff actually smiled, the rest walk around with some sort of depression. CHEER UP! We... More

I normally stay at the Houston House when I travel to Livingston but on this occasion booked the Mercure. I was disappointed...rooms were in need of a makeover, old carpets, bathroom smelled of smoke (room 250) and breakfast was greasy. The fruit selection with the yoghurt was really poor. The gym was tatty and tired, rowing machine not working and... More
