Having been returned back to Harris because the ferry could not dock in Uig due to high winds, we had to find accomodation near to the ferry port for the 7.30am sailing. We headed straight for the nearest hotel to the port, and were greated by a lovely receptionist & booked in. The room was neat & tidy, a little... more

Having stayed at this hotel previously...or motel as it was then....it has undergone a major upgrade. The rooms are well appointed and the beds delightful and comfortable. Everything worked as it should . A bottle of water in the bedroom was a nice touch but wasn`t replaced each day! The hotel lets itself down on attention to detail. The breakfast... more

A new and very modern, sleek little hotel in an otherwise unassuming village known mainly for Harris Tweed. The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating, even allowing us to use their laundry facilities for free. We were cycling across country and incredibly smelly and were grateful for the chance to clean our clothes. The rooms were very well appointed... especially... more

If you expect any peace and quiet, forget it, the giant ferry ran its engine about 100 yards from my room all night and the 7 AM departure made for exceptional noise from 5 am on. I got no sleep even with earplugs and noise cancelling headphones. The room was new, clean and tiny, very tiny. Internet did not work.... more

This hotel was lovely. The room was decorated to a high standard, the bed was very comfortable. They seemed to have thought of all the little luxuries, like very nice toiletries and a fridge with drinks in it. (She said she is planning on putting chocolate and pringles in it too so don't worry ladies there will be chocolate too).... more

My Husband and i went to eat at Restaurant James stocks @ Hotel Hebrides this weekend, we were recomended to go by some friends of ours and were not disapointed - world class is the only way to put it - better than any other Michelin star restaurants we have prevously dined at most notable - seaham hall, in which... more

I can only assume the management have no culinary experience. The expensive crockery did nothing to mask the poor, flavourless food it introduced. It is far and beyond the worst meal we ever had. Superior prices for well below average dishes. Bland, overcooked, very over priced and to be avoided at all costs. Total disappointment more

Recently opened, this hotel deserves all the good reviews it has received. The owners have built, furnished and equipped the property to a high standard. Although the rooms aren't huge, the design makes a refreshing change from the usual 'olde worlde' style of many Scottish hotels. However, the bedroom walls are a bit thin, and we did notice some noise... more

I loved the decor here and the beds were gloriously comfortable. Everything looks clean and new & very much boutique style. I hadn't expected to look out over the ferry terminal but that didn't matter as much as the fact that this hotel draws all the locals to late night boozing sessions (1.30am both nights we were there). Also the... more

Having expected the worst (having been to at least 1 hotel I would not stay at again on our trip round Scotland) was really suprised and delighted at this "treasure" of a hotel. The outside may look un-prepossessing to say the least, and the idea of being next to the ferry port didn't seize me with joy (but the ferries... more
