Cuil Lodge must be one of the nicest guest houses we have ever come across, it is spotlessly clean, has every amenity you could possibly wish for, a lovely freshly prepared breakfast with excellent choice and served by very friendly and welcoming hosts. On top of all this the main reason we picked Cuil Lodge what a fantastic view, wish... more

Went into Uig proper looking for Cuil Lodge just after the ferry had docked so the town centre was filled with cars/fumes. Fortunately, Cuil Lodge Guest House is across the bay (about 2km from the ferry terminal) which might be a disadvantage for ferry catchers without a car, but the the views of the sunset from the guest house are... more

This B&B is of a very high standard. We stayed for two nights and found David and Marie very good hosts. The setting is a good place to tour the North of the Island. Quality rooms and a good breakfast. more

Uig isn't where most people go when they visit Scotland, and that is what makes it so special. The B&B is located inside this costal village, within walking distance of a small convenience store where you can buy your basic groceries and postcards. There is also a bank machine if need be as the B&B only accepts cash. We stayed... more

Stayed for one night before getting the ferry to Tarbert, Harris. Spotless B&B, lovely room with views over the bay and a great breakfast and cheapest on our trip. If only all B&B's were this good. more

Very comfortable and smart bedroom - ours was a double on the ground floor - with great view over the harbour. Good bathroom with a powerful shower. Excellent breakfast. Small sitting area in breakfast room inadequate for a longer stay - but the bedroom was comfortable to sit in and read. Our B&B the previous night had served tea and... more

We arrived on the Isle of Skye to a miserable day with the rain pouring down. We got off the ferry at Uig and the B&B was literally a 2 minute drive from the ferry terminal. This modern B&B was beautifully furnished and had amazing views over the harbour (despite the rain!). We were travelling with our 5 month old... more

A lovely, modern and comfortable base from which to explore the north east of Skye. Great views out to the bay from the rooms. Friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast. We booked over the phone after a last minute change of plan and it exceeded our hopes. Exceptional value for money. We ate at the Uig Hotel (one of the... more
