We had the opportunity to spend three wonderful days in Uig at the Cuil Lodge. The bus dropped us right at the entrance road, it was a short walk to the house. We were met by Sandy and Margaret and immediately felt so welcome. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbour, with beautiful dormer windows. The en suite... More

This is an excellent choice for a stay in the north of Skye and ideal for the ferry terminal. The house is beautifully situated with views across to Uig. Our room was very spacious and immaculately furnished. Home made chocolates and a fridge with fresh milk for tea or coffee were very nice touches. There was a large bathroom with... More

What gracious and generous hosts, wonderful welcome and comfortable room. Everything was spotless, so nicely and pleasantly appointed. I would definitely recommend. A short walk up the hill is a lovely place to eat and you are 5 minutes to the ferry with a lovely view across the bay.

Sandy and Margaret are the most welcoming of hosts. Their home is simply beautiful and our room was as excellent as the fabulous view over the bay from the windows. We had the use of several other sitting areas, all with beautiful views and attention to comfort in every detail. The breakfast was superb, as was the selection of Margaret's... More

A one night stay to start our holiday off - could have happily stayed longer. Sandy and Margaret are natural hosts with a stunning attention to detail. It is a style of B&B that others should aspire to. From the comfy beds, tea and cake on arrival and home made chocolate in the fridge. The approach to breakfast is just... More

We stayed for one night before catching the ferry to Harris. What an excellent place to stay! Great comfortable bed and a terrific breakfast. Sandy and Margaret were exceptional hosts and treated us as friends as well as paying guests. The space allowed for guests to relax in is huge and well appointed. Terrific hospitality and a very warm welcome.

People in a place set apart the standards of a good place and a fantastic place. That's exactly what makes Cuil Lodge the main highlight of my trip to the Highlands. Sandy and Margaret are darlings. From the time we arrived they made us feel at home. A lovely cup of tea with Margaret's home baked to die for fudge... More

Superb location overlooking the bay and pier. The room was very comfortable with the added bonus of home made truffles and shortbread. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Sandy and Margaret are fantastic hosts with nothing too much trouble for their guests

Just back from spending 2 nights at Cuil Lodge and can thoroughly recommend it. The house itself is fantastic after all Sandy & Margaret's s hard work and the level of service they provide is second to none. The awesome breakfast really sets you up for the day and don't miss the home made Tattie Scones. The ideal location on... More

We stayed at Cuil Lodge Uig for 2 nights last week and found this Bed and Breakfast perfect. 5 star accommodation easy to find and close to the town of Uig. The breakfast far exceeded 5 star and was above the standard that we expected. The best part of the stay was how welcome we were made by the hosts... More
