Couldn't have found a more lovely and comfortable place to stay on Skye. The hosts are incredibly welcoming (as is Staffa, their dog), helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and quiet. We had the best sleep of our entire trip! Breakfast was delicious and filling. This B&B receives our highest recommendation!

The owners of this this B&B are excellent at what they do. The property was exceptionally clean - very comfortable and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and would certainly return.

We received a very warm welcome from Sandy and were shown around the spotless modern interior of the B&B. he made us tea and served it in the conservatory and booked us into the local hotel for our evening meal. The breakfast was wonderful fresh fruit, selection of cereals and cooked options. The views over the harbour were stunning and we... More

We stayed at Cuil Lodge for one night on the way to Harris and rather wished we could stay longer. Our room was spacious and very well presented and equipped. We loved the thoughtful touches such as our own small fridge with fresh milk and handmade chocolates in it ! On top of this we had the most marvellous view... More

Cuil lodge is very a nice b&b with an uninterrupted view over the Uig pierre and the bay. The couple owning the b&b is extremely nice. We could only stay there one night due to limited availability (try to book in advance especially for july and august) but loved it. We arrived to the b&b completely wet and dirty after... More

I'm very late, by my own standards, in writing this review, and my tardiness saddens me but also will keep my words to a minimum (unusual for me). Upon arriving on Skye, we discovered our travel agent had made a total mess of our reservations and we had no place to stay. It was our honeymoon, a Saturday night during... More

We had the opportunity to spend three wonderful days in Uig at the Cuil Lodge. The bus dropped us right at the entrance road, it was a short walk to the house. We were met by Sandy and Margaret and immediately felt so welcome. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbour, with beautiful dormer windows. The en suite... More

This is an excellent choice for a stay in the north of Skye and ideal for the ferry terminal. The house is beautifully situated with views across to Uig. Our room was very spacious and immaculately furnished. Home made chocolates and a fridge with fresh milk for tea or coffee were very nice touches. There was a large bathroom with... More

What gracious and generous hosts, wonderful welcome and comfortable room. Everything was spotless, so nicely and pleasantly appointed. I would definitely recommend. A short walk up the hill is a lovely place to eat and you are 5 minutes to the ferry with a lovely view across the bay.

Sandy and Margaret are the most welcoming of hosts. Their home is simply beautiful and our room was as excellent as the fabulous view over the bay from the windows. We had the use of several other sitting areas, all with beautiful views and attention to comfort in every detail. The breakfast was superb, as was the selection of Margaret's... More
