Agree with other reviewers that the location is stunning with lovely walks in the grounds. Overall hotel feels tired and in need of some TLC. First night meal meal excellent and served promptly but it went down hill after that. Next morning, went down for breakfast at 9:30 - breakfast served til 10am. Had to wait for a table to... More

Wonderful setting but the pleasure stops there. Rumpled room. Drab , dark and out of date in most places. Partial sea view means " view of the kitchen exhaust fan". Room # 6. Evening meal a disaster for my wife and I. lamb cooked "pink" was dark grey and tough. Pork equally poor. Really a 2 star hotel charging as... More

We stayed one night in the Anna room in the Flora MacDonald as part our honeymoon. The room was cosy with the most amazing deep bath (perfect after a rainy walk!). Tiny little points such as the 'H' missing on a hot tap and the odd tarnish here and there, really don't take away from the charm of the room,... More

We approached Skye through the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale. We had seen beautiful photos of the Fairy Pools on Skye and set our lodging destination as close to the Fairy Pools as we could find. The search lead us to the Flodigarry Country House Hotel. An absolute gem. We stayed in Flora MacDonald's Cottage. Flora played a part in... More

We didn't get off to a good start with this hotel. We were met by an unsmiling woman who showed us our room, which at £170 per night was like a corridor with a view of a flat roof. The only other room available was their most expensive room at £250 but we took it because it had an amazing... More

The Flodigarry Hotel is a gem that is being polished by relatively new owners, Bette & Paul, who are lovely and seem to really care about the experience of their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay, and look forward to returning to this place in the future. The restaurant wowed us (see separate review) as much as the dramatic... More

We were advised to have dinner at the hotel by our B&B. By far the best food we had in Skye. The restaurant wasn't open so we went to the bistro area. The service was good, the meals were amazing and the view is breath taking. We had three different dishes and they were all impeccable. Would highly recommend the... More

An interesting hotel with lots of character and magnificent views out tot sea. The restaurant and bar were good and offered a wide variety if local cuisine. They could try and give better location details as the road is pretty rough and the signage to the hotel could be improved.

For the first time ever, I made an error in our itinerary and booked 2 hotels for the last night of our trip but none for the final Saturday. Noticing my mistake with 1.5 days to go, there wasn't a lot of choice for the North of Skye so we decided to treat ourselves to a night at Flodigarry ...... More

I can rate the location with a maximum of five stars only, otherwise I would have given more. what a stunning place this is. A view to die for. Staff is good and very friendly. Food in the restaurant is the best we had during our 2 week trip through Scotland. Stayed three nights, had three different starters and three... More
