One of my favourite island hotels in Scotland . If you want escapism this is the place to go . Been twice, last time stayed in Quaraing ? Room ..... Views are stunning . Food was very good , although we did go to the Three Chimneys one night, which was an experience .

+ The view from the bedroom ( n. 3 ?) over the coast was stunning . - There isn't any consierge in the hotel , so in a few occasion we rang the bell but no one came. The service in the restaurant is very slow.. The kitchen is ambitious but the intensive use of microwave makes the food losing... More

We were on Skye in early May 2014 and loved this place above all others. We got engaged while on the island and would want to get married here, although we have to add the caveat of having only used the Skye Bar so can't vouch for the hotel side but for a bar/restaurant so good, we can't imagine the... We stayed at The Flodigarry Hotel for tonights as part of a wedding party. The Flodigarry Hotel is surrounded with spectacular setting. We arrived and was greeted by a young girl who walked us up to our room - you don't very often find this! The rooms were crystal clean and a very decent size. Staff always smiling - always... More

The Flodigarry is a lovely hotel in a spectacular setting. When the sun shined, everything glistened. Comfortable rooms, great food, friendly bar. Made the long drive to the North of Skye well worth it. I will rave about the Flodigarry far and wide.

When we stayed, they were going through a transition to their new name. There are several things you can tell they are working to upgrade, but we thought that all of it was fantastic. First, it is on the Isle of Skye...enough said. Second, the restaurant options were of very high quality, although a few orders were not exceptional. Lobby... More

We were in room 12, which has two amazing views out both its windows. The room is listed as Lady Macbeth on the website, and it's smaller than it looks in pictures. The food is very good. I was a bit frustrated with how the shower only had a "hot" or "super hot" option. My main problem with the hotel... More

When you walk into the Flodigarry Hotel you immediately get the sensation of having been transported back in time. It oozes historic charm, from the old fashioned entry hall, to the quaint sitting room, to the room decor. We stayed in the main house, and our room was comfortable and clean, but, most importantly, had the most breathtaking view. The... More

The view will take your breath away. We stayed with our 12 year old son in a family room in Flora Macdonald's Cottage, full of character. Lovely service and great food, both evening meal and breakfast. This hotel is a special place.

I generally give my ratings based on my expectations, and if you do any research about this area you would not expect to find a luxury 5 star type accommodation. That being said, the Flodigarry exceeded what I was expecting given it's remote location. We stayed in two rooms in the cottage with my teenage sons and gave them the... More
