Histotrical hotel that offers splendid choice of accomodation , including season specials.. The Xmas and New year offers are amazing though very very expensive. Downside is it is overly expensive. The new year special is a must to sample with trips to neaby locations...on foot. You are ready for the nosh by the time you return and shower

My friend and I stopped in for a bite to eat last week and were greeted by a lovely young waiter named hector. The food was delicious and the staff that were working made us feel so welcome, we are definitely recommending this place to our friends and family, fantastic place with a fantastic atmosphere!!

Went there recently. Promised a superior suite. The room was very tired and unloved. We were so shocked. Nothing had been spent on it for a long, long time. Owner told me in the bar that they need some attention and the bedroom decor as "busy". It needed some attention: sheets, mattress, towels, and curtains were all similarly threadbare and... More

On our way through the Trotternish, we stopped at The Flodigarry Hotel hoping to get a nice lunch. We also wanted to find out if we could see the cottage once owned by Flora MacDonald that is now part of the property. The area was gorgeous with some stunning views. We went inside and found the reception area very appealing,... More

We stopped there while we were travelling around the island for a coffee break. So I will only be able to describe the restaurant and not the hotel. We discovered the hotel by chance, because, it is true, it is well hidden. We stayed for several coffees and scones which were delicious. The people working there were attentionate and the... More

The location is beautiful, the staff very pleasant, but the hotel itself needs refurbishment. Dinner for me was a disappointment. My lemon sole was slightly mushy and the vegetables were inconsistently cooked, with no visible carb, eg potato. I know cooking with chocolate can change the texture of a dish but a completely motionless panna cotta? For breakfast I had French toast... More

We had booked for one night en route to Harris. There were 10 of us staying. Arriving in the dark was a nightmare. The hotel grounds were inadequately lit, meaning signs to car park and reception were very hard to spot as a lone driver. It took almost 40 minutes of driving in the pitch black, through narrow, heavily wooded... More

I understand the new owners are settling in but I loved our stop for drinks, the welcome of the bar staff, the chance to take in the view, the discussions about the seasons and the plans for the hotel. We made a note to think about booking in here after the renovations next time we are in Skye

We stopped for lunch and had some delightful chats with Peter and Paul the new owner. We also got a tour of the facility. The place is very charming and the renovations are very chic while malting the feel of the grace of a different time. Skye is magnificent and the location is excellent for visiting the sights the island... More

We spent one night at the hotel recently having dinner and breakfast. The hotel is quite old fashioned but we felt it was more dated than charming. There were few 'extras' that one would expect for the price we paid for B&B (£250) and there were lots of little things that could have been better. We had booked a meal... More
