Best B&B I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Joanna & Alan. Fantastic location. The house was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are perfect and full of lovely little touches. Nothing was too much trouble. We returned home soaking wet one day and Joanna even washed and... More

What a lovely place! We couldn't recommend Bealach Uige more highly. Joanna and Alan were excellent hosts who looked after us really well and provided a really warm welcome. Their crofter's cottage is beautifully renovated, clean and very comfortable, and is decorated and furnished in great and quirky style. Trotternish is a staggering place to visit and this is an... My wife and I enjoyed two wonderful nights at Bealach Uige. The roads up to Staffin are in great shape and it isn't too far to Portree. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated (as was the whole house) and Joanna and her family couldn't have been more welcoming. The room we stayed in is on the main floor in... More

Nor could we, but we booked into this B&B at the last minute when other plans fell through and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The rooms are the best you will find - Joanna takes every care to make them comfortable and beautiful. She also thinks about the little things that will make your stay nicer - the... More

My husband and I spent three nights in this absolutely lovely b&b...wish it were more!! Joanna is so incredibly warm, welcoming and accommodating. Her breakfasts are AMAZING!! Our room was so clean and really comfortable as well as superbly decorated. We enjoyed every minute there and would definitely rebook if we were to go to Skye again. THANK YOU, JOANNA!!

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is probably the best b and b I have ever stayed at. The room looks beautiful in a lovely vintage style. The bed is soooo comfortable we couldn't keep our eyes open once you were snuggled in.Lovely thick fresh soft towels provided each day. Breakfast is delicious and Joanna is happy to ensure you... We heard about Joanna and her family through a trip planning guide which suggested her B&B as a cozy place to stay on the Isle of Skye. In reading the profile we got, it seemed like a nice place, and we went ahead and booked. Joanna expressed a very personal interest in our comfort from the get-go, confirming our reservations... Yes it's true this could be the best B&B that me and my wife have ever stayed at. You can tell a great B&B when it makes your holiday. A warm welcome. Room was excellent and warm after arriving on a damp night in June after a long drive from Yorkshire. Joanna and Alan are the perfect hosts making sure... More

If you would like genuine hospitality and expert advice on the surrounding area, including walks, then look no further. This guesthouse is warm and expertly decorated with superb breakfast. Nicest owners, and true Scottish landscapes. It doesn't get any better than this believe me. Also ideally located for the best part of Isle of Skye and easy to find establishment.

This B&B is truly a family's home offering people from all over the world a cosy and authentic place to stay while exploring Skye. My partner, his parents and myself had the best time of our Scotland trip on Skye and Joanna and her family just made it perfect. We loved the lovely decorated house and enjoyed a good sleep... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A warm highland welcome awaits you at our beautifully renovated family croft house. We renovated and extended a traditional croft house in 2003 and have managed to modernize it without losing the Highland Croft House character. I have managed to weave some of my grandmothers antique furniture into the décor so the rooms have a traditional feel while being fresh and modern with a touch of luxury for the visitors to the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye. We are situated on a working croft in the quiet Gaelic speaking crofting village of Staffin. Staffin is 16 miles North of the capital Portree, 50 miles from the toll free bridge and a 20 minute drive to Uig ferry terminal. ... more   less
