Sligachan Hotel, beautiful natural surroundings, is a place that I'll visit once. I was shocked at the accommodations, in particular The Lodge. The Lodge, charged 140 SP a night for lodging only, was self catering with no change of linens. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the guests on all sides conversations. However, at the Hotel, I... More

We stayed in the 'best room in the house' and it was very nice, with a great big bed and a big bathroom, free bottled water and wifi that was on occasion a little flakey (but then we are in the middle of Skye). It is an amazing place to stay with views to die for ,the Bar is great... More

Really friendly place offering free water and you can even use the loo if you are not a customer for a small donation to charity box. Good food and the staff cannot do enough for you. No wifi in bar , but the sign " no wifi " talk to each other causes a lot of smiles.

Only popped in for something to eat after a 5hr drive from Hamilton , food was good and the the staff in semaus were very friendly, my only complaint is the male toilets were honking. A wee inspection or mid clean may have helped, the place was very busy though and may have been pushed for time to attend to... More

This is a great pub, lovely bar food always fresh and filling, recommend the fish and chips and venison pie, great after a very wet day in Skye, we didn't stay in the hotel as it was full but have stayed before and the views are fantastic, recommend stopping here for very friendly service and great food once again.

we did not stay overnight but called in here a couple of times while staying on the Island, stunning location, well stocked and maintained bar, lovely outside seating areas and we had a pleasant lunch on one occasion. Thank you.

We had a terrific meal at the hotel's restaurant (not the bar). The food was some of the best we had on our month-long trip traveling around Scotland. I had a feta cheese quiche-like dish using filo dough with a summer ratatouille and rocket salad. It was delicious and I welcomed the lightness and the vegetables. My partner had grilled... More

Spent couple nights at the campsite at the Slig and after a very long day out on the Clach Glas ridge we came back to the hotel for much needed food and refreshment. Unfortunately we arrived at hotel a few minutes after 9pm and was told quite abruptly that they had stopped serving food. We asked if it was possible... More

Dear guest, It is with dismay that I read your review. Although we advertise food until 9pm, we always endeavour to feed anyone after that time, whether it be something hot or cold. It is not uncommon for us to make cheese platters at 12pm for those late off the hill. We are really sorry that you had the experience... More

We came off the hill late - 8pm and the bar was still serving food. They were not bothered about our bedraggled appearance! The food came quickly and was very good. We had the fish and chips - the fish was great but the chunky chips were underdone. The service was fast and the staff seemed to actually like what... More

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your positive feedback regarding your visit to Seumas' bar. We are here to cater for all needs, especially those who have had a long day on the hill! Your comments on the homemade chips have been noted and passed on. Kind regards, John. More

My better half and I visited recently for a couple of nights. The hotel was clean and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful...they were even able to sell us a map when we had lost ours. The bar is probably where most visitors will come. It had a good atmosphere while we were there and sold good beer. The... More
