We booked the hotel through a third party via the internet. The hotel was of a high quality for service, cleanliness and furnishings and finishes. But unfortunately the room was very disappointing. It was so small that you couldn't comfortably open two cases. The tea/coffee making facilities were kept under the cupboard because there was not enough surface area to... More

The hotel is very convenient for drivers arriving on Skye on the ferry to Armadale, being just a few miles on the main road from the port. Our accommodation was fine. We had a spacious bedroom with a sea view and a smallish shower room. Although the hotel has some pretensions to fine dining, much work still needs to be... More

We stayed for two nights in late June 2014. The hotel is beautifully decorated and appointed. The room was very comfortable and smart. The staff were extremely helpful. Special mention to Michael who helped us out with a TV problem and couldn't have been more delightful. We ate in the restaurant the first night. The hotel specialises in fine dining... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our 1 night while we were in the Isle of Skye. I should say that in our opinion, housing choices are somewhat limited in Skye...especially if you want to be in a fairly convenient location that is also quiet. Having said that, we settled on Toravaig hotel for the evening. The... More

I stayed at Toravaig for a family trip over Easter and absolutely loved it. This hotel benefits from a most beautiful setting, meaning any visit is bound to be a special one. Plenty of places of interest are a short drive from the house, but equally you still feel the sense of isolation which is wonderful. I think what this... More

Booked a room just hours before arrival. I can't say how impressed I am, everything was top class. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean, cosy and comfortable, the front room and the rest of the hotel was nicely decorated and comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and the food must be experienced. It was... More

We stayed three nights on the Ultimate Skye package; this gave us dinner, bed and breakfast as well as a trip on the owners 50ft yacht. And we chose one evening to dine at the sister hotel Duisdale House. Our stay came at the end of two weeks driving around the Inner and Outer Hebrides so we had hoped to... More

Stayed on Saturday night in the Toravaig House Hotel. Very pleasant staff, excellent accommodation, great food; only reservation I might have is that the wine list is excessively overpriced and they must lose a lot of wine sales by this. Other than that, couldn't fault it! Breakfast porridge was very good and the kedgeree was superlative! Would certainly recommend and... More

Comfortable though smallish and expensive rooms in a luxurious old house, ten minutes drive from the Armadale ferry terminal. It was wonderful to arrive on a cold day and be welcomed to a beautiful sitting room with an open fire. Rooms were well appointed, with ensuite bathroom with a bath, and bed was very comfortable. Our room had a "hill-view"... More
