Spent 2 nights at Toravaig in July 2009 as part of a big tour of Scotland. The rooms are not as large as could be, but otherwise the place is wonderful. Stylish dinners (probably the best in the area), a nice sea view and very helpful staff. Special thanks to Neil who is as charming and efficient as could be.... more

My wife booked us into The Toravaig Hotel in Sleat on the Island of Skye as a surprise Birthday present; I had mentioned the hotel to her many times before, I had seen advertised the fact that they had a magnificent yacht to be sailed in the around the west coast. This would be my main purpose for the trip.... more

We stayed for 2 nights and although we found the 'Cosy Room' very small, which was reflected in the price, we found the staff helpful and the food excellent more

fantastic.

Dinner Menu and production/presentation/taste of food incredible- Staff friendly and unobtrusive Breakfast yummy Room delightful (although on the small side..but we sneaked a view of some of the others-and we think Berneray is the slightly larger) Bed soooo comfy! great place for a short break! (didn't seem to have wifi-but a good thing apparently...)! more

This was the first time I had stayed at the hotel. The web site looked really impressive but the hotel did not really live up to this. Situated close to the road with no direct access to the sea, small grounds, bedrooms small with tiny bathroom just with shower (quite dated). This hotel did not seem good value at all... more

We arrived after a long trip from Kent to find a very warm welcome. The staff were very helpful and the service excellent. We had dinner that evening but i would say there were too many courses for us. The rooms were very comfy and clean and we were upgraded to a sea view which was a really nice gesture from Neil.... more

We stayed in The Toravaig Hotel on the 30th Jan-1st Feb and we have a fantastic time. It is a very beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and beautiful views. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very helpful. The room was beautiful, full of personal touches and had the most comfortable bed! We didnt have dinner there, however, we did... more

I went to this place in July 2007 with my fiancée. It was supposed to be the highlight of our trip and it has been actually one of its worse moments. The hotel and the restaurant were surprisingly overrated and totally overpriced. Don't let you abuse by their fancy website: (the house doesn't look half good as on the website),... more

We had an over night stay prior to catching the ferry to Mallaig. We were met with a friendly smile and an offer of help with luggage. An afternoon pot ot tea was provided in the lounge by a wonderful real coal fire. Room was on the small side with maybe little space on the dressing table . There was... more
