The Kinloch Lodge is in the Sleat area on the Isle of Skye. It is in a very remote area and is the only thing around for miles- both a blessing and a curse. The bad- not much entertainment, dining, internet (slow wifi), or cellular service. But, most don't visit the Isle of Skye with these expectations. What you do... More

My girlfriend and I came in for dinner on Sunday 12th July and found the restaurant to be incredible, not only for the beautiful setting (tucked away far from the road) but also for the service, the food(!), and the atmosphere. We had an incredible set of dishes on a five-course menu, and the staff/waiters/waitresses were absolutely fantastic: there was... More

We had a wonderful weekend at Kinloch Lodge. The hotel is very well maintained, new bathrooms, sparkling clean, very nice staff, and delicious food. The place feels like a small family run place, with personal touches such as photographs and paintings hung around the house. I will definitely come back

We had a really enjoyable lunch at Kinloch Lodge today ... the food was wonderful, especially Marcello's roasted pepper soup with black olives, which was simply gorgeous; all dishes were beautifully plated with much care taken over each element. The dining enviroment is a bit formal (and perhaps not everyone's cup of tea!), but the staff were super friendly and... More

This traditionally built hunting lodge has a fine location on the shore of Loch Na Dal and the views, I am sure, would be stunning if not obstructed by a rather grand avenue of trees. The cosy smell of a peat fire burning in the hearth in June and the warm welcome from the young lady at the bar are... More

My husband and I visited Kinloch Lodge in Skye based on the great reviews and awards it had received. We left disappointed and would not return. First, the positives: the Lodge is in a spectacular setting. However, facility itself had the feel of a place in need of an immediate upgrade. For example, the drawing room has a huge patch... More

We stayed one night - primarily to enjoy the delicious dinner. The service and our room turned out to be equally delightful. The bed was as wide as it was long, and the bathroom was top of the range modern. There was a cosy bar/reception with a log fire which smellt rather like the local whisky ;-)

This was my second stay at Kinloch, and I think we are ready to find other accomodation options next time we're in the Highlands. There's nothing exceptionally wrong with it; nevertheless, there are gaps, and it is missing a je ne sais quoi. It feels as if management has gone away and left the place in the hands of beginner... We had a beautiful room overlooking the loch. A large and comforetable bed, a lovely bathroom and every possible room requirement - including homemade shortbread! The drawing room and sitting rooms are both elegant and charming. The open fires offer that extra warmth and comfort. The staff are without exception delightful. Our meals were absolutely wonderful and the menus original,... More

This hotel is THE perfect Country House Hotel. The rooms are smart, spacious and we had a great view of the loch. It is in a quite location, but not far from the bridge or the ferry. The restaurant is world class and every time I go I wish I had booked for a longer stay!
