Just read some of the negative reviews. Can't be the same Kinloch that I visited.........Stunning house, gorgeous views, attentive service and fabulous food - Thank You 'Team Kinloch'. I'll certainly be back to taste and enjoy Marcello's signature dishes.

We were welcomed with a glass of champagne! At least I think it was! They offered the next couple checking in sparkling wine!! The house is nice with a stylish bar and sitting room and that's it! The sitting room was reverentially quiet pre and post dinner as was the dining room and the whole experience felt a little flat.... More

Wonderful restaurant (will do separate review), food just stunning at both breakfast and dinner. Our room was lovely, in the main house, stunning views on 2 sides, very comfortable bed, sofa seen better days but well located in window. Super modern bathroom with underfloor heating. Plenty of drawer space, hanging space and general storage space. However, the only questions we... More

We booked Kinloch lodge as a luxury start to our Hebridean holiday. Our experience was extremely mixed with some strong positives and some disappointments. Firstly - the venue itself is very nice - traditionally furnished but to our eyes somewhat old-fashioned. Obviously this would be a big attraction to many. Our accommodation was in a separate building which was extremely... More

The beauty of the Isle of Skye is not warm and inviting like Scotland’s alluring inland lochs and glens. It is stark in muted blues, browns, and greys; its sky seems to run to the ends of the earth. And so, the welcome upon your arrival at Kinloch Lodge is akin to the hospitality of a friend’s home after a... More

First-The breakfast is amazing BUT lunch and supper, while I'm sure they were wonderful, are very expensive. 70 pounds and it's a set menu. The rooms are OK, nothing special, and for the cost they should be, for example, the furniture in our room was so cheap the drawers fell out! We were staying 4 nights so we needed drawers... More

I will begin by saying that I typically prefer a modern, trendy and newly renovated hotel with lots of amenities and in a convenient location when I travel. Kinloch Lodge doesn't really fit that bill (which I knew going in). However, Kinloch Lodge has charms all of it's own. It was such a charming, relaxing and inviting place, the service... More

My wife and I stayed at Kinloch House in July 2014 for one night. The accommodations were similar to staying at someone's old family house -- lots of family pictures around, family knick knacks, somewhat worn furniture, etc. Charming in that way. The room (2nd floor in building separate from main house) seemed a bit small but was comfortable and... More

We stayed here for one night to sample the restaurant. It is hard to separate the two, but this review is about the hotel itself. When we arrived we were given a glass of bubbly in the whiskey bar, where we sat in olde worlde charm. There are numerous family photographs around the place, and it does rather feel like... More

This property is in a beautiful location on the Isle of Skye but has been living too long on its laurels both in terms of its very average food and in terms of the accomodation. We paid a fortune for a relatively small and old room in a building beside the main lodge. The whole place needs to be gutted... More
