Charming little hotel on the coast. Very nice accommodations. Excellent bar food -- I enjoyed their version of haggis and am still salivating over the mixed mushroom ragout served in a perfect cream sauce on toasted brioche. Yum! Also enjoyed the free whiskey tasting at the shop next to the hotel.

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a back roads tour. We had a lovely quiet room in the garden house opposite to the main building with the bar and restaurant. Great food in restaurant. Some others had rooms over the bar and they said they were awake until the bar closed and everyone still hanging around left. But we... More

We stopped for food whilst passing through the area. It was fresh and nicely presented. The bar was busy but this didn't impact the service. The bar was pleasant to sit in with a variety of options to choose from including some fresh seafood dishes from the 'specials' board.

we stayed here 2 nights. Are at the bar one night and the fancy restaurant the other. Food was delicious, service terribly slow. Breakfast took over an hour! Apparently the tour groups get priority. Our room was a "suite" which had the bathroom on the ground floor and bed upstairs. For those of us who need to get up in... More

A lovely little hotel in a beautiful setting on the shore of the loch with stunning views across the water to the mountains of south west Skye. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room in the Garden House was comfortably furnished in the traditional style. We had a great night's sleep in this peaceful setting. The bathroom had an... Stayed in a suite with a view of the lighthouse and bay. Service was outstanding. The food was delicious -- fresh fish and beef from the island -- and the setting is totally dreamy. highly recommended!

This was my second visit to this hotel within a 2 year period. Last time I was in the garden house which was a bit awkward but this visit I stayed in the main building in room #1 and found it very comfortable. The shower was modern and equipped with everything I needed. We dined in the pub both nights... More

Like so many things in Scotland, this experience is entirely weather-dependent, and we were there in continuous rain, mid-July 2015!!depressing - and I am Scottish!!! I've been several times before, and adore the setting. Almost incomparable - but without any type of view, it's a lesser deal. Used to be famed for its food. It's all still very nicely cooked,... When you cross the bridge onto the Isle of Skye, you enter into raw, barren yet beautiful region. This hotel is about 15 miles from the bridge, and is in an exceptional location. It is on the water with spectacular views, and provides the weary traveller everything they could possibly want: a good restaurant , an even better pub, and... More
