My family of four (two adults and two children age 15 and 9) stayed at this beautiful lodge in August 2015 on our first night in the Isle of Skye. It is a DREAM location with a view from our room that was the highlight of my entire trip to Scotland! Our room had one queen bed and two twin... More

We were very impressed by the Sconser Hotel! The hotel is located right on the water and has stunning views when the fog lifts. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms. The owners were beyond friendly they greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the house (the sitting room, dining room etc). Dinner was delicious and... More

From the moment we arrived (with a small group) we felt welcomed and at home. Sconser Lodge has everything covered with total comfort, delicious food (I tried haggis for the first time and loved it!!) , a fun and friendly bar and great service. Our room overlooking the water had a perfectly positioned table where I could relax, drink tea,... More

This was the fourth time we have stayed at Sconser Lodge, so it felt like 'coming home'. Craig and Lisa have updated the bathrooms to a modern standard but have still conserved the period features in the bedrooms and dining areas. All in all a very special place to stay for a while. The restaurant is very well run and... More

Sconser Lodge reminds me of a Scottish castle with modern amenities. The hosts were warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was lovely, ours had a waterview and was very comfortable. I loved the cozy bar area with a fireplace and friendly atmosphere. We had dinner in the restaurant that was delicious. I asked for a... More

We, a family of four, stayed one night at this quaint hotel with our two teenage boys. The owners Craig and Lisa were very polite, accommodating and hospitable. The family room we stayed in was clean and large enough for all of us. I enjoyed an evening drink in the well stocked bar and the breakfast, which was included in... More

We recently stayed at the Sconser Lodge on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It's a majestic old structure built originally in 1871 as a hunting lodge, beautifully situated overlooking the loch. The lodge features generous sized rooms with loch views, an inviting bar and lounge, and a lovely dining room. The best part is the charming hosts, Lisa and... More

We came to Sconser after two week's hard walking, and really needed a rest. We had a lovely stay, and deep and peaceful sleep. The owner was welcoming and thoughtful, serving us tea, and bringing us information about the local area and nearby attractions. The decor is intriguing and there is a beautiful lounge with a big picture window which... More

You really can't beat Sconser Lodge. Perfect hospitality. Friendly, attentive service and wonderful views across to Raasay. I think they serve the best cranachan in the Hebrides and the mushrooms in brandy sauce were so delicious. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast.

We only called in for a beer (or two!) and wished we had come early enough to eat. The isle of Skye beer was fantastic and the advice on whisky most welcome. A lovely cosy place with lovely people. can't wait to return!
