We stayed two nights this week (April 15). We really enjoyed our stay at Roskhill house - Julia and Alan were very welcoming, starting with the confirmation email giving all the necessary details with helpful links and websites. The B&B is spotlessly clean, our room, number 5 was airy and spacious with nice ensuite. Breakfast was fantastic, beautifully cooked and... More

We stayed here for two nights in Early March when most other B&Bs on the island seemed to be still shut for winter. Roskhill House is an immaculately clean, warm and comfortable place to stay and the owners couldnt do enough that to help us make the most of our time on Skye. Excellent breakfast- the Iron Age pig sausages... More

A very warm welcome from Allen, a good sized nicely furnished room, very tidy and comfy. The lounge was very inviting and cosy, great for a cup of tea. There were even cakes for the afternoon tea! And on top of that, as mentioned in most of the reviews, a superb breakfast cooked by Julia. A wide selection of warm... More

Alan & Julia couldn't have done more... The rooms were so comfortable - and kitted out with everything you might need (something that I haven't experienced in any other B&B). Breakfast was luxurious - there was a menu of choices for just about any type of breakfast you might want - and all fresh & delicious. Alan & Julia went... More

Lovely place to stay. We had town lovely nights here. Breakfast was first class. Having the lounge to use is a great addition to most B&Bs. Breakfast is brilliant. I had the haddock and poached eggs both mornings (beautiful organic eggs). Tea, coffee and cake in the afternoon was very welcome!

We stayed here for three nights - my friends had the superior room which was roomier and had a lounge area and we had the standard room. Both were lovely, clean, spacious and well decorated. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful - making restaurant and taxi reservations for us. Best things about Roskhill are it's location (close to Three... More

Julia and Alan were very good hosts. They provided helpful information about places to eat in the area, even making a reservation at our request. The room was very comfortable, as was the lounge. But the highlight were the breakfasts, especially the home baked goodies prepared by Julia. The rest of the food was of high quality and served admirably... More

Roskhill is in a very convenient place for touring the top of Skye and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a small problem with sewage smells in the car parking area could be due to septic tank or aerobic sewage system but otherwise the house and room were very nice and clean. There is a lovely sitting room for... More

Thank you for your kind review. The problem with the aerobic tanks in the car park was resolved on 20th June. It seems likely that the previous service carried out by Scottish Water was not fully completed thereby causing the problem. It is good to know that virtually all of our guests do appreciate the "upgraded superior room ". Our... More

First thing to greet us was the smell of sewage in the car park. We arrived at six o'clock and were quickly ushered round the house by the owner who made us feel more like an inconvenience than a guest. Our room was cold in colour and uninviting. As we had booked a superior room upgrade we were immediately disappointed.... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. As this is the first bad review we have had in the seven years we have been running Roskhill House we do take your issues seriously. The sewage system here is a sophisticated treatment system which goes through a cycle each day. On rare occasions it does cause... More

we had a very good experience at Roskhill House. In summary: very nice room, excellent beds, very good breakfast and a relaxing lounge. The owners are very efficient and friendly people. Also an ideal location to visit the most attractive parts of Skye.
