4 of us stayed at The Balloch Guest House in Portree Sat 15th Aug. Barbara made us very welcome and we enjoyed a delicious cokked breakfast in the morning. Thank you also for letting us keep the car in drive until after our boat trip. Thoroughly recommended.

We were very lucky to get a room as someone had cancelled just as I went to the door to ask if there was a room available. We had a twin room which was a decent size & the usual amenities. It was very clean & fresh. Had a great nights sleep & had the best shower I have probably... More

We stayed at Balloch for 2 nights while hiking through the Isle of Skye in June 2015. Balloch is well located - not in the centre of Portee but nice quick walk from the main street. It is en route for a couple of walks. The room we stayed in was medium sized - not the largest or smallest we... More

Wow, that last review could of been written by me! We were a group of 6 also. We had 2 double rooms and a twin. I saw all 3 rooms and they were great. Really clean and well kept. Free wifi, great guest lounge to sit in, lovely breakfast (served 7.30-8.30 if my memory serves). Barbara was great and there... More

This is one of the best B & B's we have stayed at. As a group of 6 not all places are suitable and/or welcoming but not the Balloch. The rooms are great, spacious and clean. The service is second to none and the location great. Barbara was extremely helpful and our daughter adored Hamish the dog. Breakfast was generous... More

Enjoyed our one night here. Mr and Mrs Campbell were very welcoming. Parking was available. Room was cosy with good shower and coffee making facilities. Good breakfast in a very nice conservatory. 10min walk to village square for restaurants.

We stayed here on 5th June - good location, with a five minute walk into the centre of town which offers a wide range of bars, hotels and restaurants. Our room had everything we needed and included home made cake on the tea tray and wifi. Breakfast was good and Barbara was very helpful with advice, thanks!

The Balloch is conveniently located on the entry road to Portree, with an easy walk into the downtown area. Fine breakfasts, friendly hosts and a good value. We had room #1, which has a sitting area, overlooking the bay.

Stayed here on 22/5/15 for one night with three pals on a motorbike trip..owners were very accommodating letting us put our bikes under their car port, as weather not so good..lovely spot near the loch, and a five minute walk to town centre. Had two twin rooms, which were spot on, with en-suite shower. Breakfast was good, and friendly chat... More

We had a short 1 night stay at Balloch, which is a clean, well-run place, within a short hop to the town center. The room was small but comfortable...the bathroom was very small, and a bit cramped. Breakfast was good, with a nice sunny spot to enjoy your meal. As a light sleeper, I found the thin walls a problem,... More
