We stayed 3 nights at the Pier Hotel. The location, right by the harbour, is excellent, but otherwise there is little to recommend. The room was a good size and reasonably comfortable though the stale tobacco smell was strong enough to force us to invest in air freshener. Fantasticplace to stay right on the sea front. The bar was excellent with a great atmosphere, Just like pubs used to be. Lots of locals who are all very informative no matter how much they drink!! The rooms were clean and the staff fantastic, (David the barman kept us amused all night). We will be back again soon. more
