located right at the harbour front of Portree got private reserved space probably not enough for all guest but it's handy got a twin room to the left of reception while looking towards the hotel ground floor window facing harbour twin bed at 2 ends of a quite long room loo in the middle though came by a bit late... Can't understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this place. Typical dingy Scottish hotel with little investment being put back into it. Narrow hallways to rooms are musty and smelly, the wifi only works intermittently in public areas and not in the rooms, Scottish breakfast only served if you pay £8.95 on top of the already outrageously inflated room prices. I... More

We stayed here for two nights and our room was large and clean and also quiet. We had a beautiful view of the harbor which made up for several items of routine maintenance that were needed (light not working, bathroom vent not working, curtain drawstring broken) . There was good Wi-Fi in the bar and all the staff we met... More

Lovely hotel with fabulous views. No air conditioning but staff very accommodating in providing a fan, which worked fine. Quite friendly and hospitable. Would recommend to travellers wanting something a little different.

July 2015, spent two nights at the Rosedale Hotel as part of our Rabbie's tour. Hotel staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived and our room was clean and spacious, the bathroom with separate bath and shower was enormous, during travels of the UK & Europe we had hotel rooms smaller than that bathroom. Four poster bed was... More

The hotel is situated in front of the harbour with beautiful views. The area is quiet and very central. Parking in front of the hotel and along the harbour is limited. The room allocated was unfortunately above the busy hotel's kitchen and next to the restaurant's toilet, therefore the level of noise up to 11PM was not very pleasant. It... More

An old hotel and not a super modern one but they made us feel very welcome and we started with a whisky when we signed in. The staff is very helpful and helped booking for the dinner later the same day and when we left they even made sure that the ferry we had tickets for actually was open. Parking... More

Stayed at the Rosedale for 3 nights in July 2015. It's a small and traditional hotel located in the harbour and is an amalgamation of different buildings to form the hotel as is. Consequently, the corridors and rooms are a bit small as has been mentioned by other reviewers. However, don't let this put you off. The Rosedale has a... More

We stayed in the Beaumont guest house part of this waterfront hotel. Very peaceful even on a busy weekend. Breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We could see the ocean from our room! Be sure to make reservations at one of the restaurants in town well before dinner or you'll have a long wait in line.

The location of this hotel was just perfect. Private, free, parking was definitely a plus. All the staff I met were lovely, polite and helpful and the offer of a wee dram on arrival was a really nice touch. I didn't manage to get a table in the restaurant but was able to eat in the bar. I only had... More
