We stayed at the Rosedale only one night but could have been comfortable for more. Stairwells going in all different directions were funny. The view of the harbor and colorful building along the harbor was incredible. Parking was limited in this small cramped area on the harbor but we were successful in finding a spot. Dinner and breakfast were good... More

we stayed two nights here in August for our 25th wedding anniversary and the room, above the restaurant, 2nd floor had the best view ever. It was truly amazing. We took breakfast, the all inclusive one, and the one at an extra charge and both are quite tasty. This was a very exceptional holiday, utterly romantic with a hotel to... More

We could watch the seals play in the harbor, right from our room. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Yes, it's a bit of a maze to get around the hotel, but that makes it all the more charming. The location is perfect, unless you have problems walking up hills, but thankfully we don't! We walked on a... More

I stayed two nights at the Rosedale Hotel in Portree. What a lovely stay! From the complimentary drink - sherry or whiskey - to the top notch customer service from all the staff. The hotel is quirky for sure in that you need to exit the reception to re-enter the hotel to go to your room. However there are shortcuts... More

Rosedale is perfectly situated, just 5 meters from the water looking over the bay in Portree. The view from the bathroom was so picturesque that my wife took a picture, so you can imagine how the view from the main window was. Sunrise over the fishing fleet. The room was the largest we stayed in over 11 days. Don't be... More

I stayed in this lovely wee hotel for two nights at the start of this month, on a recent trip to Skye, with Highland Explorer tours. It is just the perfect wee Highland Hotel, on the harbour. it's lay-out is really interesting/quirky, with nooks & crannies. I had a lovely single room, which was well decorated, clean, warm, comfortable, well... More

We were very pleased with our waterfront room. Rates were reasonable, clean convenient hotel. Great breakfast with very pleasant staff that gave good information about the area and what to see. There are view rooms but they may be smaller. We were very pleased with our room even though it was smaller than some of the other rooms. Charming small... More

First - If you can't do stairs.... read no further. That having been said, we enjoyed a large, beautifully appointed room. The bath was large with both tub and shower. Furnishings were comfortable and luxurious. It is possible that the Harbor view rooms are smaller. The charm of the old building with its Harry Potter stairs, you go up to... More

Fantastic location and a good room. We were in the Annex in Beaumont House, this was very good as nice view, quiet and good sized, clean room. The staff are an asset to the hotel - Emma welcomed us and was very helpful. We can't remember his name, but a young man checked us out and was really helpful (he's... More

We walked in late in the day without a reservation and received a warm welcome and a glass of sherry. We opted for a room with a view of the harbor - worth every penny. The hotel is right in the middle of this charming town - walking distance to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was in a bright spot -... More
