I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. The location is superb, being on the harbour side looking out over Portree bay, and the food is wonderful. You can be assured of a comfortable and relaxing stay here, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Portree for those reasons alone. more

A very warm welcome awaits here. In todays world of big companies whose sole purpose is to make money, its lovely to stay in a family run hotel. Lovely rooms, very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. The food is outstanding, absolutely fantastic. Beautiful location overlooking the harbour. Spent one night at the Rosedale during the first week of opening for the season 2008. Lady at reception was friendly and helpful and we were shown to our room through a maze of corridors. Heating had been put on in our room prior to our arrival and the room was clean and tidy with great views over the harbour.... more

A clean, warm hotel automatically gets 3 stars from me. Clean it certainly was but the room was cold when we arrived. There are storage heaters which were switched off so it took several hours to heat up. This is a comfortable hotel in a great location on the harbor in Portree. We had a view of the harbor from our room and were within a few blocks of many restaurants. We did not eat in the hotel. The only drawback is the limited parking. more
