Dirty place, bad smell (don't know if the dog in the director's office or the same director). One day the director decided to take our things and brought it in another room whithout any advice and respect. Too expensive for the horrible service. Avoid from here!!!

We arrived at the Caladh, which is 6 miles north of Portree. Signs visible, easy to find - GPS works if you use Waze or Google Maps. It is a little pricey for what is offered compared with other b&bs, but it's all about location. We could not find an affordable b&b on short notice, as most of the town... More

I was almost scared off of this place due to the horror stories in other reviews. However I found that the lodging was easy to locate (with road signage) and overall a decent budget value considering the location and the season. My main complaint is that they cook the breakfasts one at a time which is a bit of a... More

Entering the building you are confronted with a very cheap looking environment but after the initial impact one warms to this guesthouse. The bedding was excellent and the ensuite was large with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The daily servicing of the room was of a high standard. Breakfast was at staggered hours but as we wanted... More

For £75 per night it was very basic and not very clean. Its appearance from the outside is very run down and the place could do with a lick of paint. Inside, the rooms are small but ok. No TV was frustrating and the WiFi signal poor at best. The people were very friendly though and went out of their... More

Having spent two nights at the above Guest House I wish to record a few comments. I booked in January for a twin room, for two nights. The price quoted at £75 per night seemed high but i accepted it in the mind that it would be very good. Sadly this proved incorrect. My wife and I booked in and... More

This b&b is not in Portree but out in the country so don't think about it if you don't have a car.Portree is about 9 miles away and that is how far you have to drive to have dinner unless you bring it with you. The room was fairly basic but there was a very nice lounge area and the... More

Possibly the worst night off my life. I booked through lastminute.com. who have a call centre in some far flung foreign land. I arrived in Skye looking for directions to this B&B. The tourist information shut their door at 5.30 prompt leaving the majority of people who would be arriving at that time high and dry. I then went through... More

Difficult to locate on GPS... Very far off from the city... Rooms were average and had to wait for the rooms to get arranged... We had to go far off to have food of our choice... Would have expected better hospitality and service.
