My wife and I spent 2 nights at Kiltaraglen House and would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone. We had a friendly welcome from Nichola who we both instantly warmed to and were then shown to our delightful room. Breakfast was served in the lounge where a selection of candles had been lit with Enya singing gently... more

This is a lovely B&B on the outskirts of Portree, comfortable 10 minute walk to the town center and the harbour. We had the double room with an ensuite bathroom, with a bath tub but no shower (which we didn't realize about this room until we got there). It would have been manageable but there was not enough hot water... more

The Kiltaraglen B&B was one of the nicest places that we stayed during our two-week trip to Scotland in early July this year. We highly recommend this B&B! We stayed in the Twin room, which was absolutely lovely. Clean, comfortable and charming. Prices were reasonable. The bathroom was private and spacious but not an ensuite, which was quite alright with... more

We stayed at Kiltaraglen House after reading previous reviews on Tripadvisor and we're very pleased that we chose it! The house itself is lovely and is set in beautiful gardens. It is a 15 minute walk into Portree from the house but a 20 minute walk back as part of the walk is uphill (and we're clearly not as fit... more

The rooms were very nice and comfortable (although no keys since not even the front door was ever locked but you get used to it). But the best was the breakfast: we tried the porridge and it was served with a whisky and honey sauce - you should definitely try that. The young couple was very polite and helpful, in... more

The (twin) room was absolutely beautiful with beautiful views over the garden, the only downside was that, as we had a separate bathroom, we did not have a mirror in the bedroom, which proved to be a bit of a nuisance. That's the only fault I can find with it! A bit of a walk out of Portree, but if... more

What a delightful place with a wonderfully warm atmosphere and friendly owner. Beautiful quiet location set back from the road within walking distance of Portree. Spacious clean and comfortable accommodation and huge breakfasts (which you select the night before at your leisure) with a fresh fruit platter (strawberries, melon, grapes) and yoghurt to whet the appetite. Thank you for your... more

We stayed for three nights at the Easter weekend in 2009 in the self-catering cottage. Well furnished, comfortable, clean accommodation - a real home from home that we were sorry to be leave and can highly recommend as a great base for touring Skye. Ideal location - close enough to the town of Portree to walk down in the evening,... more

We stayed at Kiltaraglen over the easter weekend and can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Portree. Due to last minute changes we had 1 night of B&B then 3 nights in the self catering Annex - both suited us perfectly! The B&B room was a good size with an ensuite bathroom (bath not shower)... more

We were very pleasantly surprised by this B&B, it is a hidden gem. The best place you can imagine, when you drive through dark and cold night in a rain storm. Large fireplace, old cozy cottage, warm welcome, very friendly hosts. Our room was very nice, clean, warm, with a large bath and great view over the garden. The breakfast... more
