The room was basic but clean, spaceous and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Location was central with a free car park just minutes away. Child freindly. more

The Hotel is right in the middle of Portree so great for local shops and pubs. The hotel is clean but very basic. The staff are friendly but the hotel is rather tired and facilities are rather basic, and can get rather noisy at night time. ok for one night more

My fiance, 2 friends & myself have never been to Portree before so we decided to stay for a night. We were lucky to get a room as there were alot of holiday makers. We stayed here as part of an Insight Bus Tour (this hotel being part of the Oxford Group of Hotels). The rooms are spartan and basic - the TV sits up near the ceiling, attached to the wall (an addition many years after building of the establishment!) Right in the middle of downtown Portree. Small, quaint hotel. Very small rooms with twin beds only. (One bed was broken - did not complain. Staff very accommodating on other issues not of their doing.) Accommodated tour group. Would not consider going there unless though a tour. Given location, not sure there were much better hotels - especially given cost.... more
