Stayed here for two days as part of tour group. This hotel caters for group bookings and the lack of competition shows in how it conducts its business. Checking in was painful as they had lost and then eventually found the booking for me. Room was OK but cheaply furnished. Breakfast was very average. The bar was extremely poor. I... More

We stayed here as part of our tour of Scotland. The tour guide warned us to lower our expectations ahead of time as this is the only hotel on Skye that can support a large tour group of 30+. The tour company should either break the group up or not stay on Skye. Rooms were tiny, dirty, dingy & drafty.... More

I called in for a drink to find a large group at the bar. i waited at the side until the barman finished serving them. He then turned to others to serve them and i said Excuse me, i am next. He said you are not standing at the correct place and I am serving this group. I said it... More

Lodging options in this area aren't numerous and we were here with a tour group so we had no choice. They accommodated our group well. Wifi is only in the bar/lobby area. Our room was on the first floor and it was incredibly stuffy. We opened the windows for circulation only to invite in the midges. Oh, the midges. I... More

Unfortunately one of only a few hotels that takes large groups in the area that fit in my group's budget. Very much a coach tour hotel which is in need of some serious investment. I was in top floor wing bedroom overlooking the side with sloping roof, so hard to stand up on one side of the room. My bed... More

Take a look at the price, and yes, there is nothing more to expect than a bed and a breakfast. However, the service is acceptable, the room is clean and the bathroom flooring is wooden so you don't get cold feet inside the bathroom. The breakfast was just OK. At least, we have full English Breakfast. Expect the car-park to... More

Going into this hotel, I knew it wasn't going to be all that. So lower your expectations, and you'll be fine. Wifi only in the lobby. Hard to find rooms, including some very snoky smelling hallways. Actual room was dated, but mostly clean. Bathroom needed work, but was adequate. Dinner for our coach tour was okay but needed seasonings. Breakfast... More

A late flight into Inverness made for a later arrival at the hotel. I had a reservation and called as well, so there was no problem. We even made it for a late dinner. This hotel is dated, as are many in Scotland, but it was clean and comfortable. The fireplace in the entrance way was a prized sitting area,... More

Stayed for one night and had a room with a nice view. Bed was comfy and we slept well. The bedroom walls were a bit grubby but the bathroom was clean and we had a shower which worked perfectly (some others in our party experienced problems). There are areas in the Hotel in need of a revamp and it is a... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2015

Stayed as a single person in June. Weather was wet and cold. Front entrance was flooded. No heating was on in the room and only a very thin duvet on the bed. Window didn't shut properly and let cold drafts in. Shower would not turn off properly. Decor was dated and grubby. Food was served raw and oozing blood, this... More
