Just across the bridge the hotel stands as the gateway towards the isle and can be located right travelling through the bridge. The hotel is not expensive as compared to other hotels on Isle and be ready to get what you pay for. The parking is good and easy to get into portree and other parts of isle. Hotel is... More

First impressions, we are told, are important. But so are second and third impressions. So the entire coach party looked around, were helped with their luggage, and straight to dinner. The reception area was full of character with a log fire in the corner creating a welcoming warmth. The bar area viewed through the archway looked spacious, ideal for an... More

Best part of the hotel was the pleasant lady behind the desk. Old and tired (Hotel not the lady) not much to get excited about. There were 2 bus tours there on the night we stayed and we were told that we could only have breakfast at certain times so staff could accommodate the bus folks. They are now closed... More

Okay, so the hotel is in pretty bad shape (the curtains fell down in our room, threadbare carpets, beds like a youth hostel) the food is awful (cold breakfast, food that tastes well past it's sell by date) but it was the last weekend of the season, it's not expensive and you get what you pay for. However I couldn't... More

Less than five minutes from the Skye Bridge the Kings Arms seems to be geared towards one night stops for groups. We stayed two nights. The the bedroom and bathroom were clean and well looked after although they were showing signs of wear and tear which is only to be expected. WiFi was only in the reception area but it... More

As usual my reviews are based on cheap single accommodation for bikers of 'a certain age'! I booked the Kings Arms because of price. Out on bikes petrol is not cheap, therefore to compound the trip cost with expensive rooms is unnecessary. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and was horrified! However I'm here. I can only repeat another... More

Stayed for two nights. Hotel is tired and needs an upgrade but was clean and quiet. The location was the prime reason for staying at this hotel, stunning little village overlooking the skye bridge. You can only connect to the wifi in the reception area which was disappointing.

Overall a very basic hotel. Located near the Skye bridge which is the gateqay to Isle of Skye. Hotel is tidy, however in need of a good refurbishment of their rooms. I was sleeping on the floor rather than the bed because the bed was sinking in. Pretty crowded with guests too, probably because of its location. Not many amenities... More

The hotel rooms look as though they are going to fall down. Bedroom floors are on a slant and lots of evidence of subsidence. Walls are paper thin and could hear everything that was being said next door. Only plus point was the views from the bedroom windows

This is probably the worst hotel I have experienced and it had to be in my home country of Scotland. The whole hotel is in a very tired state. The only positive was that the room was clean despite being very basic. The walls are paper thin with every sound being audible throughout day and night. The breakfast was extremely... More
