Three of us spent four nights at this beautiful B&B on gorgeous Skye - the proprietors, Gillian and Craig couldn't be more helpful or more welcoming - my room looked out on the lovely harbour and I woke up to this view every morning - a wonderful start to the day. The breakfasts are terrific and being vegetarian, I particularly... More

I went to Skye at the start of the Season and stayed in room 4, which was absolutely stunning when i looked out the window the view was so picturesque, looking onto the Sea, The room had a double bed which was so comfy, the toilet was so modern and spotless. I am vegetarian which was not a problem, i... More

The greeting of our host was very welcoming and friendly, she gave us a few tips for dinner options that night. However, the room we got was absolutely tiny compared to other places we had been before. The bathroom was a small dark wooden-clad room with no natural light that wasn't very comfortable. Apart from that the breakfast was delightful... More

As written elsewhere Kyleakin as a tour base for Skye is not necessarily first choice, whereas this Hotel (or B&B depending on your views) may well serve as your first step on the island. Already before arriving Gillian is an host you could contact for all information and advice you may need. On arrival she makes you feel home and... More

We chose the White Heather on-line, as the base for our four-day stay on the Isle of Skye primarily because of its location convenient to those attractions of the island that we intended to visit. When we arrived by train and got our rental car, it was only a ten minute drive across the Skye bridge to the hotel, and... More

A lovely hotel, with every comfort including free use of a kitchenette/washer/dryer. Comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated, so many little extras considered and we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of information, choice of two lounges to use, and owners only to happy to help in any way that they could. Looking forward to going again.

Just back from a trip to Scotland. We spent 2 days on the Isle of Skye and the weather was beautiful. We spent the night at the White Heather and could not have been more comfortable. Our room looked out over the harbour and had all the little things that made it comfortable. The breakfast was superb! Many thanks to... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the White Heather, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Gillian was more than welcoming, and cheerfully helped us out with anything we needed, including spending a little time with their dogs, as we were missing ours back home! The room was great, beautiful view of the harbor, marina and castle Moil. Very comfortable... More

I stayed at the White Heather while on a 3 day tour with Discover Scotland Tours. My 2 teenage daughters and I stayed in the family room, and it was very comfortable and clean. There was a tea pot in the room, biscuits, and tea, 2 lounges downstairs, and the breakfast was to die for- an assortment of cold cereals,... More

We spent only a night here (got a flat tire on our drive up and was not able to get up there for our first night), but it was wonderful! Gillian was so kind, informative, and helpful, and the family room we stayed in was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 13 and 9) - it's one of the... More
