This was perhaps the "find" of my most recent trip to Scotland. Unprepossessing from the outside, once you enter there is a magical transformation. The public areas are comfortable and spacious. The room was glorious, with a "to-die-for" view of Kyleakin's harbor and Castle Moil. Breakfast and parking were ample. Perhaps the best feature, however, was the friendliness of the... More

We stayed in the newly refurbished Glenelg room (deluxe room with harbour view). We had a picturesque view of the harbour and beyond, enhanced by the huge window. The bed was big and comfy and we also had a large TV in the room. There was access to a guest computer and printer, which was useful, and a lounge stocked... More

We enjoyed the new luxurious king rooms with harbour view, and they were fantastic. The most comfortable bed with plump pillows and luxurious faux fur throw and cushions. Gillian the host exceeds expectations with her helpfulness and friendliness. The cooked to order Scottish breakfast was marvellous, and we dined locally at night on Gillian's recommendations. While Kyleakin is not central... More

Gillian checked us in and was full of information about the hotel, restaurants, etc. We had one of the older rooms, a twin, but it was fine and the price was appropriate (GBP 80). On the first floor (what we’d call the second floor in the US) with a nice view of the harbor and the ruins of an old... More

Recently returned from a driving trip through Scotland, which included a two night stay at the wonderful White Heather Hotel. I selected this spot as Kyleakin is the gateway to Skye, and as such, worked well with our itinerary. It was just across the bridge from the 'mainland' and gave us a great base for exploring Skye. From the get-go,... More

Gorgeous location and host, Gillian, was so very helpful. Highly recommend this little charmer. Not fancy but very warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious. Added benefit: a place to do laundry and store items in guest fridge.

We would not hesitate in recommending " The White Heather" to anyone looking for a clean, cozy room while staying in Kyleakin. Gillian was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were scrumptious and started our days off on a great note. We also had a great view from our room and places to eat for dinner were... More

White Heather Hotel is just so ridiculously cute, comfortable, and inviting. Gillian was pure sunshine throughout our stay and so helpful. The included breakfast was so so so yummy! I am still dreaming of the sausage. I only wish the hotel was a little further north on Isle of Skye so it would be closer for exploring the attractions.

The hotel / B&B was lovely and great value. A great pit stop for our driving tour of Skye with a lovely mountain & Castle ruins view from our room (Glenelg). Gillian was an amazing host with such great insights into the Island and surrounding areas as well as serving a fab breakfast.
