First impression was not good as the foyer of the hotel had a very unpleasant aroma - time to change the carpet or freshen up the decor methinks! Very limited vegetarian options. I had risotto with goats cheese - it wasn't nice. We ordered a bottle of Chilean red wine and there must have been something wrong with it as... More

We did not stay here but stopped in one night for dinner as Dunevegan is a small little town and not many choices but we were happy with our meal, it could use a little updating as far as decor but it was clean and the staff friendly. I will stop here again when in the area.

I stopped off here to grab some breakfast before some hiking in Dunvegan. It was a pretty standard breakfast that hit the spot. Dunvegan is a pretty small town, so the cost was a little high but overall is recommendable.

I am a great supporter of Capitalism and respect an owners right to charge what they believe they can charge on any given occasion. I hope in return they respect my right to praise or critic their establishment with the same support. Having said that - our travels through Scotland gave us the opportunity to experience a variety of Bed... More

We didn't stay in this hotel but did pop in one night for a meal during our visit to Dunvegan. My overall impression of what we saw of the hotel was that it could do with a bit of TLC. Although it was clean, the decor was a bit tired and a program of redecoration would go a long way... More

The outside of the hotel nearly resulted in a cancellation. The decor inside was dated but the hotel was clean and the staff, including the owner, were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom faced the loch and again this was clean and provided a good nights sleep. The restaurant had similar décor problems but both the breakfast and dinner were... More

When we arrived for lunch the restaurant was empty, the waitress that served us looked like she was annoyed that anyone had dared come in for lunch, she made little effort to be polite or attentive, she took our order, then promptly plonked our meals on the table when they arrived, the food was ok but nothing special, we were... Spent one night here while touring Skye. The room was very spacious and clean with a great view over the water. Hotel itself needs some TLC. Young staff visiting from the Czech Republic were very efficient and willing to please. Our dinner was fabulous. Started with liver pate, oat cakes and salad. For a main course I had a delicious... We had our breakfast at Dunvegan Hotel some days ago, even if the breakfast time was over. Nice staff. Good quality of the food. Rather expensive (Skye prices!). We didn't sleep at this hotel, which however appeared rather old-fashioned and needing some restoration works. Somehow charming.

I came in on a whim, they had a room older lady real nice! Left for trip about half hour( wrong way) returned. Asked cute blond for directions to Fairy Pools and was real helpful. Now, returned to hotel, showered and went to bar for dinner. Order beer, app while contemplating dinner choice. Ask cute blond to offer suggestion, question... More
