After staying at Tigh an Dochais for one night in 2013 and 2014 we finally managed to squeeze 3 nights into our 2015 trip to Scotland. And what a delight it is. Rooms with a view, a spotlessly clean en-suite bathroom , great beds and a spacious lounge, Scottish background music included. At par with the very best of the... More

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast, utterly beautiful and scrupulously clean. Neil's cooking is fantastic. Best muffins I've ever had. The views from the windows were awe-inspiring, and Neil gave very helpful advice on where to eat and walk. Floorboards not a problem because you're up anyway and the birds make more noise, which seems to me a good... More

Tigh an Dochais is much more than just an ordinary Guest House/B&B. It has been built to make the most of it's seaside location looking North to Raasay and beyond, with floor to ceiling windows to the guest lounge and the bedrooms giving wonderful views. The accommodation is spacious and modern, with guests given full use of a dedicated lounge... More

Planning a tour around Skye - here's the place to start and what a view. It's jaw dropping when you first walk into this rather funky house. A very welcoming mine host in Neil, superb facilities, clean, modern and contemporary. Superb breakfast, I went for a Kipper and scrambled egg, home made bread, local honey.... It was one of the... Wow. What a place. A beautifully appointed building, superb rooms, good local food and a host that is very knowledgeable and a great chef. Stunning views across the bay whilst you eat breakfast. Make sure you find the binoculars in the cupboard to make the best of the view from your bedroom. One of the best places I have stayed... More

This B&B offers fantastic views and fantastic rooms. The food was delicious, all sourced locally. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this B&B and would stay here again if we revisit the Isle of Skye.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our Scottish road trip and we cannot rate it highly enough. Neil is attentive and a master chef/baker. The setting is beautiful, the rooms spotless and homely, and the location perfect for discovering Skye. We looked at numerous B&Bs and hotels before booking but this was the best located and value for money.... More

The architect who designed this B&B along with the owner, Neil, who runs it have achieved as near perfection as it's possible to get. The design is stunning and practical with every possible comfort one could ask for. Beautiful scenery is complimented by real attention to detail. Neil knows his stuff and it shows. The breakfast, with fresh local produce,... More

Imagine a perfect boutique hotel, add the personal dedication of an owner (Neil) who knows exactly what he is doing and then add a stunning view through huge windows from every room, looking over the beach and out to sea with the Cullins providing the backdrop. Bedrooms hugely comfortable, and the investment in design and build shines through. The upstairs... More

My husband found this super B&B for a relaxing anniversary break. A modern house with ceiling to floor windows taking in panoramic views of Skye and across the sea to mainland mountains. Underfloor hearing in the en suite provides for cosy accommodation while the well equipped bedrooms and comfortable beds ensure a sound sleep. Ceiling to floor windows in bedrooms... More
