Food was terrible, hotel full of workmen in work clothes in dinning room. Self service, tasteless, dry food. Instant custard, cold bread pudding. White fatty undercooked bacon. Leftover veg chopped up in day afters soup. Even though we paid in advance for evening meal we couldn't face it and went to Indian take away instead. Carvery every night with little... more

This is my 3rd time staying at the Dunollie. This time round I stayed for 3 nights in March. Rooms are comfortable and warm. Hotel was a bit on the chilly side though probably due to the force 10 gales outside! Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was average but good. A help yourself carvery style for dinner and breakfast... more

We're just back from an "Easybreaks" 3 night DB&B stay at the Dunollie which cost us £150 in total. After reading so many poor reviews on this website, but being seasoned Easybreak bookers, we knew not to set our expectations too high and expect to get a standard and quality reflective of what we paid. In fact however, Dunollie surpassed... more

Great staff, warm welcome, given the room we asked for. clean comfortable and quiet. Food not bad for price, and lots of it, and good service. Worst aspect was the Skye beer, not well kept. Overall good value for money, but we did have a 3 day deal, and no coaches. J & T S Auchterarder. more

Arrived at our destination and although staff was very nice they seemed inexperienced. We were given our room with a lovely water view, however the room was so heavily sprayed with cleaning chemicals my husband and I had massive headaches within 20 minutes. Went back to the desk and asked for another room. Second room was not clean and had... more

After a pleasant drive from Inverness airport my work colleague and I checked in to the hotel. Being away on expenses we decided to book into the restaurant for the a la carte that evening. Unfortunately this hotel caters for large coach parties, but I was too late to see the "welcome Shearings" on the notice board. The a la... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Globus tour. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were cozy and clean. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but is a nice place to stay. We stayed in room 132 which had a breathtaking view of the ocean. With a view like that - who cares... more

The room was so uncomfortable that I got up at 6am and left for my next destination. It was tiny, the bed mattress was not lumpy and the pillow was wafer thin. What a waste of time and money. I avoided the dinner at the hotel. Another traveller warned me to stay away so I went to the Broadford Inn,... more

This hotel has great potential, but our stay was spoilt by poor management of the detail. We were allocated a pleasant room with great sea views and comfortable beds. It was clean and up-to-date, but the shaver socket was broken, a minor irritation. The public areas and bar offered generous space with bar-food available. However, the hotel advertised a good... more
