We booked this last minute owing to weather issues. Richard and his team were very welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable, food very good and bar quite lively. I would make a point of staying here when I return to Skye. First class.

The food was only average and my expectations were greater. There is no dining room for dinner so you eat in the bar area which looses the magic a bit as it is a bar. We had a double room but the bed was a small double and a lot smaller than we are used to. I think the bed... More

We decided to book this hotel after reading some of the good reviews from Trip advisor- taking into account the negative ones too. Though- it is difficult to please everyone- and there will always be disgruntled people. To be honest I can't believe some of the positive reviews now that I read them again - must be a different hotel.... More

We were really happy to find this hotel Richard was really hospitable and welcoming which makes a huge difference when you arrive at a hotel The hotel was stylishly decorated in tartan fabrics and the rooms were comfortable with a good bed and new bathroom. The food in the restaurant was great We will definitely stay here again and recommend... More

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but this hotel was in need of repair. Our room was facing the back over some sort of compressor or exhaust fan. Went most of the evening but fortunately shut down before lights out. In our bathroom there was tiles missing from a corner of the tub/ shower combo and my hubby cut his... More

Stayed here 2 nights on a tour of the Isle of Skye. Richard, the host, was hilarious! Addressed each of us by name and waited on us hand and foot! Really makes you feel at home here. The view was spectacular! The hotel is charming. Our room was room 7 and it was just the coziest Scottish room with beautiful... More

Arrived in Skye for a few days. Stayed at the ardvasar hotel. Richard was very friendly and accommodating, help with our bags etc. the man is a gentleman with a hotel.... Yes it's an old building, yes his dog walks around.... Yes it could be updated but for us it's what Skye is all about. Imagine a modern boutique hotel... More

We stayed in this hotel in July/2015. The room was stuffy and old so we had to sleep with the window open during the night to get some fresh air. The whole property is way over due for a remodel. The sitting room had very little furniture and was not inviting. The breakfast was midiocre to say the least. The... More

Tastfully renovated rooms (in our case no. 12) with much place, new bathroom. Good restaurant, comfortable lounge with great view over south bay of Skye. Walking distance to Armadale Castle and Pier with attractive crafts, esp. pottery

Conveniently located minutes from the ferry, this charming B&B is also a pub at night...and judging by the long waits, a very popular one! After experiencing a pint and a nice dinner, I could understand why. The meals, plus the added convenience of our room being upstairs (shockingly, really quiet and no pub noise at all), made this a lovely... More
