We stayed in this hotel in July/2015. The room was stuffy and old so we had to sleep with the window open during the night to get some fresh air. The whole property is way over due for a remodel. The sitting room had very little furniture and was not inviting. The breakfast was midiocre to say the least. The... More

Tastfully renovated rooms (in our case no. 12) with much place, new bathroom. Good restaurant, comfortable lounge with great view over south bay of Skye. Walking distance to Armadale Castle and Pier with attractive crafts, esp. pottery

Conveniently located minutes from the ferry, this charming B&B is also a pub at night...and judging by the long waits, a very popular one! After experiencing a pint and a nice dinner, I could understand why. The meals, plus the added convenience of our room being upstairs (shockingly, really quiet and no pub noise at all), made this a lovely... More

Okay, I admit being a veggie on the island of Skye options are always going to be limited but this truly was the most awfully mushroom Tagliatelle I have had in my life, the sauce was like milk and it put me on the toilet all night. The brocolli soup was tasteless and my g/fs prawns did not look like... More

we had booked for two nights but ended up booking a third after feeling that two days is not enough to see the isle of skye properly. richard, the owner was very welcoming and had a lovely family room ready for us. the room was tastefully decorated with just the right amount of tartan to remind us where we are,... Nice size room with en suite bathroom. Very clean, neatly furnished. The owner manage gave everyone in our group very personalized service. Every morning he already had a Diet Pepsi at my spot at the breakfast table. It was quite the running joke. The food was amazing! We had the opportunity to eat 2 meals there per day, and every... Although we live on Skye, we had two nights away for our anniversary to explore the south of the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, here. Richard the owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the meal in the bar and the service was excellent. We hope to return very soon.

Stopped recently for quick bite to eat and enjoyed some simple sandwiches and salad plus a nice beer sitting outside looking over to Mallaig. Perhaps a few more snack type options for lunch would be good and maybe more seating as great views if nice enough to sit outside. Large car park round the side.

Ticks most boxes positively - nice clean well furnished bedrooms and en suite bathroom with great view across to Mallaig, however outside and bar and dining room could do with a little extra tlc, which is disappointing because bar meals were very good and efficiently and pleasantly served. There was a great atmosphere in the bar in the evening because... More

We stopped off at the hotel after it was recommended to us from one of the shop owners near the ferry terminal. On entering the hotel there seemed to be a musty smell. We asked for the lunchtime menu and were very disapointed in the choice or lack of it on the menu and so unimaginitive. Basically it was fish... More
