This was a great b+b a short walk from the ferry. Only stayed one night but we recieved a warm welcome from Mary, the beds were comfortable and breakfast the following morning was excellent, eggs scrambled to perfection! Would definitely stay again.

My family and I spent one night here and everything was excellent. Both rooms are ensuite with a new bathroom and everything super clean. Breakfast was awesome, everything handmade and fresh. Mary and his husband are so kind, do not forget to visit their lesther shop if you are taking the ferry from Armadale. I would hardly recommend this b&b... More

Stranded for the night after two cancelled ferries myself and three young children got a warm welcome from Mary. The double bed was so comfortable, had a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and if I had known that was your homemade jam I would have bought a couple of jars to take home! Very accommodating and even though it... More

We stayed four days at this wonderful B&B. One of the depot managers, from the nearby ferry, dropped us off at Sonas on his way home. The hire car arrived the next morning and after a tasty and filling breakfast Tom and Mary gave us very helpful advice and information on where to go and things to do on the... More

Stayed here for the weekend , nov 2013 . Very clean and the bed was one the most comfortable I've slept in . Owners very friendly and good value for money . Good quality soaps and accessories in the bathroom , and a selection of books in the rooms . Nice breakfast included as well .

We stayed with Mary and Tom on our last night of our honeymoon on Skye. We got dinner at the pier with a friend and walked back; we were exhausted from all our travels and actually fell asleep about 8 o'clock, and slept wonderfully. The bathroom was great, new-looking with a nice shower (a bit small for my wide-shouldered husband--but... More

A charming & warm welcome, rooms cosy , comfortable & well equipped. An interesting breakfast to set us up for the day, you won't be disappointed. The Ardvasar Hotel is just a few minutes down the road for a delightful evening meal !

Sonas is wonderfully situated for the Mallaig ferry and as a base for exploring the beautiful Sleat peninsula - and it's not that far from the more frequented tourist spots. The situation is very quiet - we slept like bablies - so did our elderly Labrador in the car outside! (Fellow dog owners might like to know that there are... More

This B&B is excellent, especially if you are occupying the both rooms they have. Mary received us with a warm welcome. The rooms are clean and comfy and the food superb. The location is very good as the ferry is close and Sleat is the most beautiful area of Skye. We had a great time.

Hi 1 I'm just getting the hang of 'trip advisor' hence the delay in responding. We really enjoyed your stay and I'm delighted that you did too. Hope to see you again sometime. Mary More

Tom and Mary could not have made us feel more welcome on our recent trip to Skye. Nothing was too much hassle from looking up bus times for us to offering us a lift to the ferry terminal with luggage! Rooms were clean and very comfortable, bathrooms were very big with powerful showers. It felt like home from home as... More

Traditional B&B in Scotland was based on sharing your home & facilities with paying guests. While we have moved on and guests have their own bathrooms and part of the house that 'home from home' feeling is still all important. I'm very pleased that you felt welcome & so comfortable. Mary More
