We received a warm welcome in this commodious small hotel in Tobermory ideally suited to the discerning motorist . The seafood dinner was exceptionally good and nicely presented. Breakfast choices were varied.Traditional Scottish breakfast on 2 occasions was excellent and the service was both personal and timely.

My third choice on Mull , the others not being free, this B&B in a wide street up from the harbour has easy street parking, and is a short if steep walk down to the waterfront. We booked the 2 best water-view rooms, Ulva and Staffa. Our room had a 4 poster bed, but was so crammed with other furniture... More

Outstanding service, food and accommodation combine to make this a memorable experience to which we shall return. The location is stunning and our room superbly placed for easterly views over the bay.Magic sunrises! Jo and Dave Currie are the perfect hosts!

We have travelled far and wide, stayed in the best and the worst and come to the Isle of Mull every year. This is without doubt the best restaurant/accommodation offering on the island. Two professionals at the top of their game cooking and front of house. Mull has few choices for eating out and none, apart from Highland Cottage, matches... More

We had a great stay at this hotel - Room was very good and the bed was extremely comfortable and the "feel" of this hotel is more like staying with friends. The highlight for me was our evening meal - it was fantastic ! The Risotto was superb and the halibut was cooked to perfection and served just right. I... More

We spent a two-night break here recently and I have nothing but praise for the efforts of Jo and David Currie to provide a top class accommodation and beverage offering. Our room was the Staffa room and was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable four-poster bed, plenty of storage, a nice view and a very clean and well appointed en-suite.... More

Having eaten here a few years ago, we vowed to return one day, and what a gem The Highland Cottage is.The hospitality and attention to detail is amazing, our luxurious room with a four poster bed had a magnificent view over the bay, and the dinners were memorable with local produce cooked to perfection by Jo, and served with humour... We stayed for 2 nights in mid June 2014. Our room was small but was perfectly formed, right down to the homemade shortbread bics to go with a drink, loved the honesty bar in the up stairs lounge. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and served - try the Rusty Nail Pudding, Yum. I recommend this lovely little hotel.

The rooms are cosy and comfortable with a four poster bed in ours There is an excellent upstairs lounge for... More

We enjoyed an overnight stay at the Highland Cottage in early June. It is a lovely, homely, little place. Run by the owners, David & Jo. David looks after the guests and his wife Jo, cooks the food. Both do their tasks to the highest level. We booked this hotel based on its 2 AA rosette rating and must say... More
